Dear Concerned,

1. Open https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/spreadsheet/index

2. Import attached Book1.xlsx. Observe Cell F4 of Sheet1 has a font size of 72.

3. Change it to 8, row height does not change automatically

4. It should be same as Excel behavior

Please provide a fix or any workaround in the meanwhile.

1. Enter some text in a cell.

2. Increase the cell font size to 48.

3. Reduce the cell font size to 8.

4. Double click the row resize handler: the row height is not adjusted to correspond to font size 8.

The same behavior can be observed when opening an existing .xlsx file that has some text and font size set and following steps 3-4.

Bug report

When the data source of the Kendo UI ScrollView is configured to accept a function, two requests are sent.

Reproduction of the problem

1. Set the read of the data source to function.

2. Set server paging to false (by default is false).

Bug report

When the horizontal scroll of the grid is shown and is configured for RTL, the resize handle is mispositioned.

Reproduction of the problem

1. Make the grid scrollable and set explicit widths to all columns.

2. Make the grid RTL.

3. Introduce multi-column headers.

4. Notice that the columns cannot be resized due to the disposition of the handler.

5. Dojo for replication:

https://dojo.telerik.com/IZInOVUd

6. Notice that whenever the horizontal scroll is not present, the resize handle is positioned correctly.

Environment

Clicking an item in the parent list reveals the child list that replaces the parent list.

At the top of the child list, there is a < back item that allows returning to the parent list.

For examples, see the drawers at:

Hi,

column.values like feature in kendoGrid would be ideal in kendoTreeList.

Thanks

In some cases, especially when grouping is involved, the day/week/workWeek views may end up with too many events in a single slot. If the total width of those events could not fit within the slot size, those events will overflow and cover some of their sibling events. To avoid such a result, events rendering in a scrollable container should be considered. This way each event will have a minimum width even if it has too many siblings in the same slot.

Here is a Dojo sample demonstrating the case: https://dojo.telerik.com/UnUnUTAW/6

Bug report

The Tooltip component is visualized at the upper left corner of the browser's window when opened in Safari.

  • The issue is not reproducing with jQuery 1.xx and 2.x.x

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Open this Dojo in Safari browser
  2. Hover the bars in the BarChart

Current behavior

The Tooltip is visualized in the upper left corner of the browser's window

Expected/desired behavior

The Tooltip should be visualized on the top of each bar of the chart that is hovered.

  • The expected behavior could be observed when the above Dojo is opened in Chrom

Environment

  • Kendo UI version: 2019.3.917
  • jQuery version: 3.x.x

As per https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/javascript/ui/combobox/events/select I am expecting that select does not fire when the user enters text but does not select an item from the list. This is consistent with your other widgets like AutoComplete.

However as seen in this dojo https://dojo.telerik.com/ESOJibEB select triggers whenever I enter text and click off the box instead of only when I click an item in the combobox.

How to reproduce:

  • Open above Dojo
  • Click in the combobox and type some text.
  • Do not click on an item in the list and instead just click anywhere else on the page.
  • Check console and you will see select has been printed.

If you need any other help, let me know.

Kind Regards,

Ben

PS Im forced to select a browser but this is the same across both chrome and firefox.

Enhancement

Excel files generated by Kendo Excel Export cannot be imported by the MS ODBC Driver. The error reported in this forum thread is: External table is not in expected format.

Current behaviour

If the file is opened and resaved with Excel or if the styles.xml file is replaced with any styles.xml generated by MS Excel, the error does not occur. When compared the styles.xml of Excel does not contain a numberFormat, no other obvious major differences at first glance:

E.g.:

<numFmts count="2">
<numFmt formatCode="#" numFmtId="165" />
<numFmt formatCode="#" numFmtId="166" />
</numFmts>

Expected/desired behavior

If possible, modify the styles.xml template to enable seamless use with OleDB

    Dear Concerned,

It would be very useful if Kendo can provide two more functions like fromJSON & toJSON in a Spreadsheet as mentioned below

fromStream() - to load an excel file form an Excel stream string so that the developer does not need to convert it to blob etc.

toStream() - to return excel stream string, it would good if it is possible to get stream without blocking UI operation. As of now, we first call toJSON & then call kendo.ooxml.Workbook(jsonSpreadsheetData).toDataURL(); to get excel stream and it is time consuming operation.

Use case: keeping excel file/stream on the server and fetching it using API on UI and then using fromStream to load & render it. And toStream is the same as toJSON to save modified stream back to the server since stream size is very low as compared to json.

Please see if it is feasible to provide these features.

It would be useful if it is possible to filter between a range of values, like in Excel. For example filter for values that are between 3 and 6.

I have a gantt chart with tasks, resources, and assignments. I want to enforce a many-to-one relationship between tasks and resources, that is, I want to be able to assign a single resource to any number of tasks, but each task can only have 1 resource at a time. A (conceptually) simple sample implementation would be to change the checkboxes to a radiobutton in the 'assign' dialog window, from the 'edit' dialog.

I understand there is currently no way to enforce this type of relationship or the restrict the user from selecting more than 1 assignment in the assignment dialog window, so I am requesting a way to do either (or both) of these things. I would imagine a setting in the gantt or taskDataSource for enforcing the relationship, or a setting in the assignment field for switching the dialog box to radio button like behaviour.

    Scenario:

A user deletes an occurence because a few people are ill. Five minutes later the superior enters the office and says the meeting happens anyway. Or the user deletes a wrong occurence.

Resetting the recurrence might not be an option for long running meetings. Like weekly Scrum, project jour fix, ... where the other exceptions should persist. Currently the user has to create a new, separate event.

The exceptions could be rendered as multiselect or list in a separate window which opens after a button click. That way the recurrence editor would not look messy with lots of exceptions.

Please provide support of row grouping as it is going to be a very useful feature and excel is rich data file so we always need to group various sections. An example of the feature is available in the attached file and the link below.

    Bug report

    Reproduction of the problem

    Dojo example.

    1. Drag the page splitter to resize the screen and see the Grid's pager correctly switch between the different responsive styles (expected)
    2. Click the "Open Modal" button, which opens a Kendo Window with another Grid in it
    3. Drag the page splitter and/or resizing the Window to see each of the Grid's paging styles changing accordingly (expected)
    4. Close the Window (destroy is called in the deactivate event handler)
    5. Try again to drag the page splitter to resize the screen. This time, the Grid's pager is no longer responsive

    Current behavior

Responsiveness of the pager of a Grid declared outside the Window is affected by the Window's destroy method.

    Expected/desired behavior

Calling the destroy method has no unexpected effect on components that are not nested in the Window.

When a custom class attribute is set via the columns.attributes option, the TreeList renders an additional class that is undefined.

    Reproduction of the problem

    1. Initialize a TreeList.

    3. Inspect the relevant "td" element
