Based on your demos (https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/filter/index), it seems it is impossible to get the filter control to use localized messages just by loading the required language file (other controls seems to switch language OK).   Whilst it is possible to have completely custom text using the configuration api, it should still be possible to have defaults for the main languages supported.

It would be better if we can customize circle(depend on type of entity we can paint it with different borders).

Instead of date show something else. It is not possible with api now, but I think it is easy to make everything replaceable with custom templates.

Currently, the Kendo ListBox has methods to return -- the DOM Elements using items(); the Selected DOM Elements using select(); ALL of the Data Items using .dataItems() and a SINGLE dataItem using dataItem(selector).

An additional method that would be extremely useful for this control, would be to return the SELECTED DATA ITEMS perhaps using a method  selectedDataItems().

Here is a JavaScript function that can be used as a template for providing the functionality (of course, it needs additional error checking):

    function getSelectedItems(lstName) {
         var selectedItems = [];
         //var lstItems = $(lstName).data("kendoListBox").items();
         var lstItems = $(lstName).data("kendoListBox").select();

        $(lstItems).each(function (index) {
            var selected = $(this).hasClass("k-state-selected");
            if (selected) {
                var id = "#" + $(this).attr("id");
                var dataItem = $(lstName).data("kendoListBox").dataItem(id);
                selectedItems.push(dataItem);
            }
        });
        return selectedItems;
    }

In a control such as a ListBox that inherently requires the functionality of "selection" -- then your user community would definitely need a way to not only return the selected DOM elements but also return the selected dataItems.

Hopefully, we see this functionality added to the Kendo ListBox very soon.

With Excel when you use a custom number format of #,##0.00 and you enter (10) into the cell it will be displayed as -10.  With the Spreadsheet control the same example yields (10).  How can we get the same behavior as Excel with the Spreadsheet control?

Hello,

I have an 8mb PDF files that I need to be able to search, however when I click on the search tool the entire page starts responding.

This issue happens in your hosted demo. It seems to come as a result of images in the PDF.

What do I need to do to have it work properly?

Thanks,

Greg

The event handling between DatePicker and DateTimePicker is inconsistent.

If I manually type a date into DatePicker and tab away from the input, the change event is triggered

If I do the same in DateTimePicker, no event is triggered

They should behave the same, of course DateTimePicker should also trigger whether or not the user types in a time

When the data values are all negative, if you create a line graph using kendo chart function, Autoscale on the Y axis is not applied properly. Please check if there is any possible solution.

The two attached figures are normally auto scaled, but the charts that combine the two graphs are not auotoscale normal.

We found a bug when we try to dynamically include a title at the KendoUI - Window component.

Hi Team

We develop under Aurelia Framework and use KendoUI components.

It would be nice if there will be an update of the "Aurelia Kendo UI Components Catalog".

By complementing components used by "Jquery components catalog" with examples for Aurelia users that uses Typescript.

Mostly it is hard to find good tutorials for Aurelia + KendoUI users.

Best regards,

Thomas

Hi,

The API reference of the kendo.mobile.ui.Collapsible is incomplete. For instance: I'm missing the configuration property "collapseIcon".

The "iconPosition" configuration property has no effect. The examples do not show any icons (Chrome):

I've setup a new ASP.NET Core project with Kendo UI Core. One of the requirements for this site is to load the scripts/styles from CDN except when the internet is down, in which case it should load from local files. I downloaded a copy of Kendo UI Core 2019.3.1023 and extracted it into the project. I have an ASP.NET Core Tag Helper which handles hashing the local file and using that SRI to load the CDN version.

Here's an example of that generated tag and the fallback:

<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://kendo.cdn.telerik.com/2019.3.1023/styles/kendo.common.min.css" integrity="sha384-tr4PSEV2CnVkku/o7s0ApjrlIpaxzBOMQTYc8SsPFXXh6ITUZ/SS7t8k8PVUa1Tk" crossorigin="anonymous">
<meta name="x-stylesheet-fallback-test" content="" class="k-widget"><script>!function(a,b,c,d){var e,f=document,g=f.getElementsByTagName("SCRIPT"),h=g[g.length-1].previousElementSibling,i=f.defaultView&&f.defaultView.getComputedStyle?f.defaultView.getComputedStyle(h):h.currentStyle;if(i&&i[a]!==b)for(e=0;e<c.length;e++)f.write('<link href="'+c[e]+'" '+d+"/>")}("box-sizing","content-box",["/lib/kendo-ui-core/styles/kendo.common.min.css"], "rel=\u0022stylesheet\u0022 integrity=\u0022sha384-tr4PSEV2CnVkku/o7s0ApjrlIpaxzBOMQTYc8SsPFXXh6ITUZ/SS7t8k8PVUa1Tk\u0022 crossorigin=\u0022anonymous\u0022 ");</script>

When the hash is calculated from the local file, the CDN copy does not match. So far I have only had an issue with two files: kendo.common.min.css and kendo.bootstrap-v4.min.css: both of these files have different headers from the download and CDN versions and appear to be minified differently. It would be great if future versions could be the same so that the hash for a local file matches the hash for the CDN version.

As a side note, it would be really great if you could work with Libman (the Visual Studio CDN downloader tool) to be able to download Kendo UI Core. The only version that exists currently on that system is very old.

For the Kendo Scheduler Recurrence Rule editor, it would be nice to have the possibility to select multiple options for the recurrence of monthly events. For example instead of only being able to select only the first Monday of the Month for a recurring event to be able to select every first and third Monday of the Month for a recurring event.

I try to show the pdf viewer in an kendo window, is there any problem known?

Hi there

This is just a general question in relation to Kendo UI.  Does the Kendo UI component from the DevCraft susbcription has a wrapper for expressjs/nodejs

If not, there is any plan to add this to the library

Cheers

When using a grid with locked columns if the unlocked area is scrollable once scrolled horizontally the resize handle keeps it's original absolute positioning and doesn't respect the change in scroll.

When hovering over the edge of the column I can no longer see the resize handle. I can hover to the left where it would have been with no scrolling and then see it.

On DOM inspection I see the event to update the handle's position STILL FIRES when hovering the edge of a column header, but the position is based on scrollLeft() === 0.

I will assume the needed left position for each column is calculated on creation but is not re-calculated for horizontal scroll.

This can be reproduced in the live demos on Telerik's site.

Applying the following filter to a datasource

app.localDocs = new kendo.data.DataSource({
        data: app.docArray,
        schema: {
            model: app.doctorModel,
            total: function () {
                return app.docArray.length;
            }
        }
    });

    app.doctorModel = new kendo.data.Model.define({
        id: "code",
        hasChildren: false,
        fields: {
            code: {
                type: "number",
                editable: "false"
            },
            name: {
                type: "string",
                editable: false
            },
            msp: {
                type: "string",
                editable: false
            }
        }
    });

app.localDocs.filter({
          logic:"or",
          filters: [
              {
              field: "name",
              operator: "contains",
              value: $('#filterV').val()
                    },
                    {
              field: "msp",
              operator: "contains",
              value: $('#filterV').val()
                    }
                ]
            });
            app.mobileApp.scroller().scrollTo(0, 0);

 Try the search using O'Brien  The list shows no results as soon as you hit the apostrophe.

Works fine on Safari on a mac, chrome on any system, but has the above result above on an ipad or iphone.

I am currently experiencing an issue between the Kendo ContextMenu and the Kendo EditorFor. When I open the ContextMenu inside of the EditorFor it display offset relative to the cursor, both the left and top values are completely incorrect relative to the editor.

Attached you will find a solution where this issue has been replicated, I removed the scripts folder in order to keep the file size small. I hope this can be fixed soon.

Reproduction steps:

1. Open column menu

2. Using arrow keys, go to Filter menu item.

3. Hit right arrow to open Filter submenu

4. Tab through filter submenu

5. Hit escape.

Expected behaviour: Filter submenu closes and focus returns to the parent column menu

Actual behaviour: Both filter and column menu are closed.

Snippet: http://dojo.telerik.com/@gearoidj/iqiwUCEp

This is an issue for accessibility users - there doesn't seem to be a way to return to the parent filter menu using the keyboard without closing all menus and reopening them.

There is one way for it to occur, and that is to use the mouse to place the focus on the Filter menu background - in this case hitting escape will close the Filter menu and focus will be returned to the parent column menu. However this is impractical for an accessibility user who is relying solely on keyboard navigation.

An example of where this (mostly) works is on the Columns submenu - the user can use the left arrow key or Escape to close the child menu or alternatively keep tabbing and they will eventually return to the parent menu (though if they do tab within the child menu, hitting Escape will close both the child and parent menus).
