As a suggestion from the response that I've got from Ivan Danchev, I'm raising a new feature to enable/disable columns auto-resize in the the treelist of the gantt chart. Currently the columns width is "static" when it is defined in the column configuration. It'll be great if the columns are resized automatically depending on the length of content in the columns.

This is just a general question in relation to Kendo UI.  Does the Kendo UI component from the DevCraft susbcription has a wrapper for expressjs/nodejs

If not, there is any plan to add this to the library

We need the ability to merge grid rows with the same values (see attached). This is a feature our customers have come accustom to with our Windows UI and the Developer Express toolkit. I understand I can manipulate the rowTemplate to achieve similar results but it is my understanding this will cause issues with row selection, editing, etc... Is this something that can be introduced in the future?

If we make an input readonly it doesn't get validated and wee need it to be validated on a readonly datepicker.

In kend.all.min.js we have

 

v=":input:not(:button,[type=submit],[type=reset],[disabled])"

and if i modify it by adding readonly like below

v=":input:not(:button,[type=submit],[type=reset],[disabled],[readonly])"

 

We need to make that code configurable because the workarounds concerining this problem it's buggy.

Fish Bone diagram is a nice feature which is very useful for the applications to provide the root cause analysis in any vertical.

Syncfusion is having a nice in built control to do the same.

A similar feature from Kendo UI is needed to include it in our existing applications.

2)Scroll bar is not coming in that drop down list.

Some of the Kendo UI font icons unicode numbers are reserved in iOS (e.g e007, e006, etc. ). Thus, with the current implementation of the Kendo UI themes, before the font is loaded, the default icons corresponding to these unicode characters are being displayed. This is especially the case with a slow network connection.

A suggestion to handle the issue is to use a font loading strategy that renders an invisible fallback font face, or a font face observer.

Allow customization of the Validation Tooltip position.

For example, positioning the Tooltip based on the cell, on the input.

In first data row (Row 3) I create a range of numeric values from a , middle and maximum value.
Validation works perfectly, e.g. when manipulating the Middle value, I cannot go below minimum cell value and not above maximum cell value, until adjusted.

I want to accomplish the same with dates in second data row (Row 4 when I reference another "C4", it looks like validation works as expected, but the Date Picker is broken.

Prevent the page from scrolling the Scheduler into view if the widget is focused through keyboard navigation or selection.

Allow other widgets to cascade from the DropDownTree through the cascadeFrom option.

Like the DatePicker - let the DateRangePicker use pre-existing inputs instead of it creating the input markup it itself. Via options or just use the 2 inputs inside a container as the code does right now (`that._endInput = that.wrapper.find('input').eq(1);`).

It would be great if the KendoUI Grid could be enhanced to automagically recognize when it's grouping by a date field and then offer additional options to group the dates by Day, Week, Month, Quarter, or Year.

I would love to have the possibility to use drag & drop with different browser windows. As shown here.

That way my customers could make use of their multi-monitor workplaces. Opening a grid or listview with items on one screen and opening a scheduler on the other screen. Then dragging from the grid to the scheduler.

The Kendo UI Window features in many widgets as an editable popup and form container - like the Kendo UI Grid and TreeList, the Kendo UI Diagram and it would be great to be able to keep using it and open it elsewhere dynamically as right now this takes no effect.:

The controller is returning the HtmlEncoded contents of a text file that the server reads in from the local operating system on the server, and I would like to display that information in a window or editor such that there is a left hand 'gutter' displaying line numbers and the file content has vertical and horizontal scroll bars.  The line numbers would scroll-y with the content, but should be fixed with respect to scroll-x.

A good example would be

 - the code panel in the Sources tab in Chrome developer tools, or

 - http://alan.blog-city.com/jquerylinedtextarea.htm (not my first choice though)

The 'gutter' is not locked (or fixed) though.  After many iterations I though of the Editor component and how it might already have line numbers built into it, and I could use it in a read-only manner to display the text file contents with line-numbers.

In some scenarios it is required to validate if the edited event model property matches a certain condition. If this is not the case, the recurrenceEditor popup needs to be prevented from showing.

Currently the Scheduler does not provide a beforeEdit event that allows such behavior to be achieved.

Provide support for zooming the Spreadsheet's cells grid similar to the one provided by Excel.

I'm wondering if it is possible to create a feature to partially format a cell value from the exported Excel?
