As the aggregate function is always very powerful to every chart type, and currently it's supported to most of the charts using category (ex. area line, bar, column, bullet), it would be very nice if you add functionality behind donut pie and funnel charts to handle category aggregation with easy instead of using datasource groupage. My request is to follow this example instead of that one
Best Regards, Boyan.
We have an issue where encoded characters (for example: ö) in the chart category field cause the label to be misaligned.
You can see this in the following dojo example here: https://dojo.telerik.com/aMEYaziy
This dojo is based on your example (https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/bar-charts/index) but I've added an encoded 'ö' character to the label for Februrary.
In our application we are passing our the labels down via ajax, and defining the field in series.categoryField (as oposed to the hard-coded values in your demo and dojo), but the effect is the same.
Please let us know what the problem is and how we can resolve it.
As you can see in this dojo https://dojo.telerik.com/UTuPeMUw, there is a problem with the grid lines when I set the reverse property to true and the max property to 270 (the grid lines of angles 30, 60 and 90 are hidden).
The Kendo UI ToolTip exposes the AutoHide functionality. However, this option could not be configured for the labels' tooltip of the Kendo UI Chart
Be able to configure the AutoHide of the chart's tooltips. When the user hovers out, the tooltip should be persisted until a mouse click is present.

It would be nice to have a feature in Charts were we can drag and drop the series points especially with Line & Bar charts. This will allow the end user to interact with data visually.
Add some visual indication (scrollbar, arrow image, etc.) to give a hint to the user that the panning is enabled and there are currently not visible items in the chart:
Please provide a property that will enable the ValueAxis of Radar Chart to be visible on top of the RadarArea series.
Currently, if the RadarArea Series has the opacity property set to 1.0, it masks the ValueAxis. To make the ValueAxis visible, the RadarArea's opacity should be reduced and this in turn makes the color of RadarArea less appealing.
Please provide a feature whereby we can make the ValueAxis visible through the RadarArea series without compromising on the opacity.
It would be great if hierarchical chart types were available. Currently there's not a good way to represent hierarchical data outside of a TreeMap, but TreeMaps don't always work well (particularly for small datapoints). An ideal chart type would be the sunburst chart (nested pie/donut charts), as it can have multiple layers, hide a segment (and all children), and potentially zoom into child layers.

Currently the shared tooltip's position gets in the way of actually seeing the current category's series, as well as hindering any attempts to click on any series behind the tooltip.
Ideally, the tooltip should form off to the side of the current category's visible/clickable elements, either dynamically based on room available, or statically based on configuration (top, bottom, left, right).
This is different than multi-line labels which I know are supported. Staggered labels would put the 2nd, 4th, 6th, etc. label on a line below. e.g. LABEL LABEL LABEL LABEL LABEL LABEL LABEL LABEL LABEL
For the following use cases: 1. Drag points on a line a) Line chart with three or more colored lines with points on them. User can mouse over and see the value at that point. b) User clicks and drags a point on any of the colored lines c) The graph interactively shows the point moving and the line updating d) User releases the mouse button e) That line is now updated. Mousing over the point will display the new value at that point on the line. 2. Click and edit a point’s value a) Line chart with three or more colored lines with points on them. User can mouse over and see the value at that point. b) User clicks on that point c) At the mouse point (or any other place we determine is best to put the widget), an input area appears d) User inputs a new value e) The line and point update with the new value. Mousing over the point displays the new value As per sales: “These requirements are unfortunately not built in features of the Kendo Chart. We don't offer any way for a user to "click and drags a point on any of the colored lines" nor a built-in approach to click and edit items on the chart.
We already have click events for the plot area, axis labels, etc., but a click event for the chart title is conspicuously absent. I have received development requests that would require this, but currently have no available workaround to allow it.
Kendo Chart has setting min/max for the axis. However, when zooming and/or dragging/panning the chart, the min/max values are no longer in effect, therefore the chart ends up displaying values outside of this range. If min/max is used to specify the current axis values, then there should be another to specify the general boundaries/range of the axis. Example: if you have a plot with XAxis min=1950 and max=2050, when zooming the XAxis and depending on the data it will eventually display 1948 and 2060; or, it will stop at 2030 even though I requested XAxis to go up to 2050.
Hi, For example, if you look at this chart in 10 days zoom view, you will notice they skip the weekends, means, they are not drawing empty data points for weekends. It is normal requirements for candle charts in stock market. https://mbshighway.com/features/interactive-charts
One of the basic stock chart features for amcharts\yahoo\google charts is to recalculate a percent axis during comparisons. http://www.amcharts.com/stock-chart/ https://www.amcharts.com/tutorials/disabling-or-enabling-value-axis-recalculation-to-percents/ The stockchart should be more of a widget that allows comparisons that automatically converts to percents during comparisons. For example, in the amcharts you can add\remove stocks easily, and when there are two stocks to compare it automatically shifts to a percent axis. The chart itself does the calculations as they are very standard. For us, this would also need to work in a virtual MVC scenario. Currently, we have to do the calculations either on the client\server, insert\remove\hide\show price\percent axis and legend info etc....just to duplicate other charts that are built in with these features.
Legend displays series type/style in addition to color. Currently it only supports color and displayed as a colored square. In charts with multiple series types/styles it is impossible to distinguish between the different series based on legend only.
Hi, We often need to modify values of an existing graph (either to change values, or filter existing set). However animation is very ugly when doing this, as it starts the animation from start. It would be awesome if animation could be more configurable, and would allow to control how animation is processed when chart's data is changed. Thanks!
