It would be nice for the Editor to support writing markdown or standard HTML.

Add "between" grid filter row operator similar to DevExpress for angular one.

Example here:

Add icons for grid filter operators to easily understand current operator (DevExpress example):

Using the popupSettings we will be able to assign a specific popupClass to the popup component, which will allow to style the popup holding the menu items globally.

Now I can configure possible filter operators and default operator on column basis. Doing so I have much copy-pasted code for each grid column.

I want to have a grid level option to configure this on "type" basis with a reusable js object (e.g. public constant shared across components):

<kendo-grid [filterOptions]="GridFilterOptions" ...

Where GridFilterOptions:

public const GridFilterOptions: ... = [
{ type: "string", default: "contains", operators: ["contains", "doesnotcontain"]},
{ type: "number", default: "eq", operators: ["eq", "neq"]}
];

Hello, I need to configure default filters operators in Grid filter menu. In my use case I want to filter a date, and I need that the first  filter operator was "Is after " and the second filter "Is before" . It would be nice to have a built-in option to configure the default operators of both filters

Requested feature:

A new options "stayInFront" / "alwaysTop" for WindowService > WindowSettings.

Example:

this._windowService.open({
                title: 'Details',
                content: MyDetailsWindowComponent,
                stayInFront: true // < requested feature
            });

Behavior:

  • if true, the window is always "on top", that means if we open another window with "stayInFront=false" it will be behind the window with "stayInFront=true".
  • if multiple windows are open with stayInFront=true they will keep the order in which they were opened

Szenario:

  • We have a grid of records, where a record is a "pipeline configuration" that allows users to edit pipeline steps ("nodes").
  • When the user clicks on a record, we open an "edit pipeline" window.
  • Inside the "edit pipeline window" we have list of "nodes" and the user can click "edit" on each node. This will open a second window containing details to the selected node.

Current problem:

If both windows are open, the user can click on the first (a big one) and this will be moved to front and hide the "node details" window. That makes no sense but we cannot use a dialog because users should be able to select a different node (in the first window).

Hi Telerik,

It would be great if we can add Select All functionality as a built-in feature of the MultiSelect component. It is especially useful when working with checkboxes, e.g., https://www.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui/components/dropdowns/multiselect/templates/#toc-rendering-item-checkboxes.

Today the checkbox styles work only if we place the label behind the input and connect them use id + for attribute:

        <input type="checkbox" id="ch1" class="k-checkbox" checked />
        <label class="k-checkbox-label" for="ch1">Checkbox 1</label>

Problem:

While it works most times, it quite difficult to ensure a unique id inside an angular component. We have to ensure, it's unique over all currently rendered components.

A clean solution would require something like this:

// MyComponent
let componentIndex = 0;

class MyComponent {
  checkboxId: `my-component-${componentIndex++}-checkbox`;
}

// Template
        <input type="checkbox" [id]="checkboxId" class="k-checkbox" checked />
        <label class="k-checkbox-label" [for]="checkboxId">Checkbox 1</label>

Feature request:

Support implicit label association like so:

<label class="k-checkbox"><input type="checkbox" /> My label</label>

On grid with 50 rows and 100 columns, autoFitColumns method freezes browser and annoying "Page unresponsive" is shown to the user. Please make function responsive.

Based on high Chrome CPU usage I think method could be ran in background thread. Probably Web workers would be appropriate for this task. This may help.

Current behavior
The grid component already has the functionality to resize and reorder columns by the user, but is missing functionality for saving an restoring columns configuration, so that changes done by the user are lost after a page change.

There is the Persist the State article in the "How to section" in the documentation, but the described solution is only applicable when adding grid columns by using *ngFor. When defining columns in the markup, due to extensive usage of templates (kendoGridColumnMenuTemplate, kendoGridFilterMenuTemplate, kendoGridCellTemplate, ..), there is no reasonable solution available.

Expected behavior
Provide methods, similar to the jQuery grid, to save and restore columns configuration. This should at least include the column's order, width and sort.

PS: This is not a duplicate of the feature request Add persistent state for grid (and other components). The latter one has been marked as "Completed" but does not include the needed functionality.
