In Fiddler (and in applications such as Wireshark) it's easy to collapse / switch between different protocols, headers and such.

In the Fiddler everywhere version - you get the entire request/response as a single text block.

It would be great to switch between protocols / collapse the parts you care less about and in general have better controls.

I'm not 100% sure if this is a bug or it's a feature (of lack thereof) but it goes like this:

On regular fiddler, a great thing to do is to simply copy a raw request to the raw composer, change a param and re-issue it... Fiddler everywhere does not allow that! I have to write headers on a tab and the body on another and yet, there's a "Raw" tab.

The Raw tab unfortunately is not editable (read-only)... I believe that it should be editable

Currently, Fiddler Everywhere just hard-fails on any invalid SSL certificate. More annoyingly, it doesn't explain why the certificate is invalid.

Fiddler Everywhere should:

1. Allow overriding a certificate error (possibly hide this behind an option)

2. Explain what caused a certificate error

Simple: you right click a request, a menu pops-up and you can click "Replay" that request. For extra points: Replay in sequence or parallel

Scheduled for FiddlerCore Release

Hi there,

I've successfully setup fiddler-everywhere 0.4.0 and am able to sniff traffic to various websites on my linux (Ubuntu 18.04) laptop. However some https sites are not working - fiddler-everywhere severs the connection at the SSL handshake phase. These same sites work in the windows version of Fiddler (v 5.0.20192.25091 - built 04 June 2019) however.

What is the status of the SSL support in fiddler-everywhere vs windows Fiddler?

Example site that fails over https:

Fiddler Everywhere cannot currently open any password-protected .saz archives saved from the Windows version of Fiddler.  Need to be able to open password-protected .saz archives and save captures as .saz archives with password protection.  Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Include a profile concept to enable us to login with our Telerik account and synchronize my settings on all my machines.

Would synchronize all settings, including custom rules, fiddler scripts, filters, AutoResponders and so on.

I'm running on an Ubuntu 18.04 server. using VNC via gdm3 (gnome) display manager.

The first time I tried to run progress-telerik-fiddler.AppImage, it brought up a dialog asking if I wanted to integrate with VNC and install a desktop icon, to which I answered yes.

The window then closed, and each time I try to run progress-telerik-fiddler.AppImage again, nothing at all happens, as follows:

wxr-xr-x 1 root root 113958410 Mar 25 14:15 progress-telerik-fiddler.AppImage
root@cupertino:/nethome/osmolyar/fiddler#

There is no desktop icon, log, or anything.

Describe the bug
When the location of the Windows Desktop is changed (e.g. like described here), the functionality for exporting the root certificate is not working.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Change the location of the Desktop on Windows OS
  2. Run Fidder Everywhere, ensure that Setting -> HTTPS -> Decrypt HTTPS traffic is checked
  3. Press Settings -> HTTPS -> Decrypt HTTPS traffic -> Export root certificate to Desktop
  4. Error message is shown in a tooltip:

Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users<username>\Desktop\FiddlerRootCertificate.crt'.

Expected behavior
The certificate is exported.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • OS: Windows 10

Fiddler can't connect to domains with 3 consecutive hyphens.

This error occurs:

fiddler.network.https> HTTPS handshake to r1---sn-ab5szn7e.googlevideo.com (for #793) failed. System.ArgumentException Decoded string is not a valid IDN name.
Parameter name: unicode

To reproduce:

Start Fiddler Everywhere (at least on Mac), make sure HTTPS decryption is enabled.

Go to www.youtube.com and try to watch a video.

The aforementioned error will occur in Fiddler.

I search use Socks5 and received answers:

Hi,

Fiddler supports SOCKS4a version. If you are trying to use another SOCKS version, this might be the reason why it is not working.

Could you please, elaborate on the error you receive.

Regards,
Simeon
Progress Telerik

He advised me to create a new request!

Will what I want to be done?

Thanks!

Sometimes when I close Fiddler Everywhere, the process Fiddler.WebUi stays alive.

When I try opening a second Fiddler Everywhere it can't bind on 8886 and I have to force quit (kill -9) the process before re-opening Fiddler.

Im using MacOS Sierra 10.12.5

2 BIG Issues are present.

First of all, I don't have an INTERNET connection any more after closing FIDDLER it has to be always running!

Second issue Fiddler is working properly ONLY on the first Start. If  closing it and opening it again it's not working at all.

FIX this ASAP

very very critical

howdy,

I've downloaded the latest 0.4.0 Fiddler Everywhere. When I run it I get an error - "A JavaScript error occurred in the main process". This occurs every time I launch the app. However it appears to run normally after I dismiss the error dialog.

I'm running Ubuntu 18.0.4:

```
lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
Release: 18.04
Codename: bionic
If you go to Composer and compose a request, if you switch back to inspector for whatever reason (fetch some info for exemple) the composer resets to an empty state!
Because it cannot be opened on my macOS 10.10.5. The application just flashed and closed as I tried to open it.
