Currently, if we move files/folders from one folder to another, the FileManager sends two requests to the backend - Create and Destroy. The Create method is called to "create" the files in their new destination and the Destroy method removes the files from their previous location.
The two methods are executed independently and the results from each of them don't affect the result of the other. There are scenarios in which when we move files, the Create call can fail or be prevented because of limited user rights, but the Destroy method will be executed resulting in files' deletion. The same is applicable in scenarios where the Destroy is unsuccessful.
It will be a very useful FileManager feature if there is a relation in the Create and Destroy methods' execution.
In a Grid, you can include aggregates from other columns in a footer template. Please add this feature to TreeList.
Also, other useful features would be:
1. Enable or hide footers for expanded nodes. Currently, if there are any footer templates defined, then a footer row is rendered for each expanded node. Please can we have some control over which of these footer rows are rendered. For example, having them rendered only at the top level.
2. Provide some means of controlling whether or not to include child rows' values in the aggregates.
For example, I currently have a TreeList where some values are already the totalled across any child rows - this totalisation is done by our business layer. However, we want to include a Grand total in the footer, This Grand Total needs to be the total values summed on the top-level rows ONLY and not their children. I am having to write custom code to do this.
Just like posted here (and declined) : http://kendoui-feedback.telerik.com/forums/127393-kendo-ui-feedback/suggestions/3844570-serialization-support-of-datasourcerequest-and-app I would like to see a portable separate assembly that : - can be referenced both on ASP.NET MVC side and WCF server side. - A DataSourceRequest and DataSourceResult class that serialize well in both SOAP and REST WCF. Referencing Kendo from the Application server side also requires references to System.Web.Mvc, Razor pages, ... and others that shouldn't be necessary.
We are using kendo mvc tooltip on our user form. we show tooltip on right when user focus in input. we want to force the right position always on tablet and medium devices. but right now, if there is less space on right, the tooltip auto moves to left. how can we stop this to going from right to left regardless of space.
I recently added the editor's table insert/edit feature to a project. My customer immediately showed frustration that you can only apply styles and classes to the entire table or one cell at a time.
It would be great if we could:
I'd like to request the inclusion of source code for CRUD operations in the FileManagerDataController for MVC and Core.
When using the standard Edit command in a column, it is possible to customize the standard text for the edit button (command.Edit().Text("Doit")). But it is not possible to customize the Cancel- or Update-Text (as it is in the grid: command.Edit().CancelText("Nope").UpdateText("Yep")) or to leave the text blank.
Row's hover effect should be optional and it could be enabled/disabled in grid's configuration, the same as we add Selectable, Navigatable, Sortable, Editable, etc., functionalities to grid. This could apply to odd/even coloring too. Should no need to do hacks to achieve this.
I would like to suggest an option when installing or upgrading Kendo MVC project to allow selection or deselection of languages for content and scripts. The extra languages add time to loading the web site and slow down publishing. We only need en-UK and en-US for our main project.
We are moving to automated deployment. Currently when upgrading, we have to manually remove the extra languages which are not required. It would be great to have an option in the wizard to do this when installed and this is set as default for upgrading.
It would be nice to be able to configure the stock chart's navigation pane the same way that regular charts are configured. Options for multiple vertical axes, axis-crossing-values, label templates, chart types (line, area, column), and any other configuration options that standard charts/sparklines would have.
In our project, there's a newly revamped application and Kendo UI has been used for first time.
The Home page of our application has a bar graph and a donut graph.
I am from Test Automation team and run OpenTest-Selenium tests on Chrome and IE browsers.
The problem described below applies to both, so to keep it simple I will describe for only the bar graph.
Reference isolated application:
Problem Description Title: UI based automated tests run on Chrome succeed, but fail on IE for Kendo Bar Chart
Troubleshooting performed: In both browsers, we looked for the click event using the Browser Inspector
Observation: The click event is present in Chrome, but not in IE
I found an article in your site:
Is this the reason that you've no exposed this event specifically in IE?
(My understanding from this is that the Click event can be exposed, but is currently not done in the interest of performance).
Could you share any data on what is the slowness with how much data, so I could share it with our Dev team.
Because the number of bars in our application is only 4 (always) and volume of data gets reflected in the height of the bars.
Hello, Like a lot of companies we have multiple client side interfaces of a single application and have to create similar UI in multiple platforms. For example I had to create a chart in both WPF and ASP.NET AJAX today. The problem I have with the Telerik controls is that there are absolutely no standardization or consistency between platforms. Why in the name of all-things-good-in-this-world are axes in WPF and ASP.NET AJAX and ASP MVC and Windows Universal Apps not all called the same thing? It would be very simple to use interfaces to create some consistency between platforms. Even better would be if Model Views are shared across platforms in a portable library: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh563947(v=vs.110).aspx https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg597391(v=vs.110).aspx Regards, Douw PS. I could not find a feedback portal for all platforms, so have to log this multiple times.
1. Add method CategoricalErrorBarsBuilder.Field(string) that will indicate the name of the field containing the value for the error bar. This value would be a relative difference (not absolute high/low). There is a "Fields(string, string)" method but "Field(string)" for difference value is missing. 2. Provide way to render half (top or bottom) of error bar. For example, if only CategoricalErrorBarsBuilder.HighField(string) is assigned, then render top half of error bar. Or maybe some other setting. Often it is desirable to show only the side of the error bar that is above (or below, if the bar represents a negative value) the bar marker so that the other half is not rendered within the bar marker.
Of the highest priority, we desperately need file explorer for inserting and uploading images. In the AJAX editor, this appears to be build off the radFileExplorer control which is the other one we REALLY need for MVC which doesn't exist at all.
Although the Tree view is very powerful on displaying the tree structure, modifying it is very frustrating. We almost go for a separate module for maintaining the info. SOme examples here may be very helpful, especially for Kendo novices.
