Bug report

The Footer option of the UI for ASP.NET MVC Scheduler is disabled by default.

Reproduction of the problem

Demo.

Current behavior

No footer is rendered.

Expected/desired behavior

The footer should be enabled by default.

Currently, it has to be enabled explicitly: .Footer(true)

Bug report

If there is a Spreadsheet on a given page and we scroll the page down using the mouse wheel, once the scrolling stops over the Spreadsheet and we try to continue it, we cannot do it. If the Spreadsheet has defined rows that are not currently visible when the mouse wheel is moved, then Spreadsheet is being scrolled, not the current page.

If the Spreadsheet has a lower number of pre-defined rows that are all displayed on the component's initialization the scrolling is again not applying to the page. Instead, moving the mouse wheel doesn't do anything until the mouse cursor is moved outside the Spreadsheet.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Open this Dojo example and run it
  2. Move the mouse cursor in the middle of the pane displaying the compiled code.
  3. Use the mouse wheel to scroll down the page and stop the scrolling once the cursor is in the zone of the Spreadsheet
  4. Scroll down again

Current behavior

Because the cursor is inside the Spreadsheet the page cannot be scrolled. If the rows configuration is commented, when the scrolling is started again, the Spreadsheet data will be scrolled.

Expected/desired behavior

If all the data in the Spreadsheet is displayed, moving the mouse wheel over the component should result in page scrolling. If there is data in the Spreadsheet, there should be some way to prevent the scrolling inside the component.

Environment

  • Kendo UI version: 2020.1.114

Hi,

We are using globalization with UI for ASP.NET MVC to translate control to French (fr-CA). However, while most messages are correctly displayed in French, there are some that are still displayed in English. For example, if we use the Grid control with filter on a 'string' column, the dropdown for the operators shows both French ("Commence par") and English ("Is empty") operators:

Looking at the source code, we can see that in ressource files "Messages.fr-FR.resx" and "Messages.fr-CA.resx", there are some messages that are still in English (for example, Filter_StringIsEmpty).

Note that corresponding text seems to be correctly translated in jQuery messages file (for example, "kendo.messages.fr-CA.js"), so it might only be a matter of applying the same translation to .resx files.

Note also that the same problem seems to be present in the source code of the latest version (2020.1.114).

Thanks!

Hi Team,

I am using a kendospreadsheet. I want to find the rownumber of last non blank cell for column C.

When i try the =SUMPRODUCT(MAX(($C$1:$C100<>"")*(ROW($C$1:$C100)))) in excel it works.

The same formula does not work in kendospreadsheet.

Please suggest if this is a bug or if formula needs any change to fit the kendospreadsheet.

Regards

Bharathy B

Bug Report

When endless scrolling is implemented, manual DataSource operations using the DataSource APIs(query, page, sort, etc.) do not work as expected.  The endless scrolling settings are causing paging issues.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Visit this Kendo UI Dojo.
  2. Scroll to 40.
  3. Click the Reset Filter button.

Current Behavior

The first page is only accessible, and when scrolling down the reads continue to occur.

Expected/desired behavior

The endless scrolling settings should not interfere with manual dataSource operations.

Workarounds

  1. Solution when read is called, the Kendo UI Grid will reset to its original state(dojo).
        kendo.ui.Pager.fn._refreshClick = function (e) {
            e.preventDefault();
            var grid = $("#grid").getKendoGrid();
            grid.dataSource.options.endless = null;
          	grid._endlessPageSize = 20;
          	grid.dataSource.pageSize(20);
        }
  2. Solution which overrides the data(dojo).
        kendo.ui.Pager.fn._refreshClick = function (e) {
            e.preventDefault();
            var grid = $("#grid").getKendoGrid();
            window.restoreScroll = true;
            window.scolledValue = grid.content[0].scrollTop;
            grid.dataSource._data.empty();
            grid.dataSource._pristineData = [];
            grid.dataSource.read();
        }

When importing a XLSX file with a frozen pane using server implementation(using the Document Processing Library), the dimensions of the frozen pane are missed.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Visit the Spreadsheet Server Import/Export live demo.
  2. Import the attached example(FrozenPaneExample.zip).

Current Behavior

The imported xlsx file appears to overflow the Kendo UI Spreadsheet component.  See screencast(SpreadhsheetOverflowFrozenPane.zip)

Expected Behavior

When importing a file using server implementation, the file should be contained within the Kendo UI Spreadsheet component's view.

Workaround

Reduce the amount of frozen rows/columns to fit into the widget.

Using server binding does not render the NoRecords message for the Grid

Reproduction of the problem

	@(Html.Kendo().Grid(new List<Product>())
		.Name("Grid")
		.Columns(columns => {
			columns.Bound(p => p.ProductID).Groupable(false);
			columns.Bound(p => p.ProductName);
			columns.Bound(p => p.UnitPrice);
			columns.Bound(p => p.UnitsInStock);
		})
		.NoRecords("No records found.")

		.Pageable()
		.Sortable()
		.Scrollable()
		.DataSource(d=>d.Server())
		.Filterable()
		.Groupable()
	)

Workarond

A possible workaround is to use local binding by setting the AJAX binding in the DataSource, but keep the initial server binding:

	@(Html.Kendo().Grid(new List<Product>())
		.Name("Grid")
		.Columns(columns => {
			columns.Bound(p => p.ProductID).Groupable(false);
			columns.Bound(p => p.ProductName);
			columns.Bound(p => p.UnitPrice);
			columns.Bound(p => p.UnitsInStock);
		})
		.NoRecords("No records found.")

		.Pageable()
		.Sortable()
		.Scrollable()
		.DataSource(d=>d.Ajax().ServerOperation(false))
		.Filterable()
		.Groupable()

Bug report

The input field of the Combobox is being shifted when a "position: absolute" style is set on its initial element.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Open this Dojo example
  2. Run it and see the floating "Rib Knit" text which is the input field of the Combobox

Current behavior

The input field of the Combobox is shifted when "position: absolute" style is set on its initial element.

Expected/desired behavior

When setting "position: absolute" style on ComboBox initial element the whole component should be shifted according to the set "top, bottom, left, right" parameters.

A possible workaround that could be applied in the above linked Dojo is the following one:
$("#comboboxA").getKendoComboBox().input.css("position", "static");

Here is the modified Dojo with correctly working Combobox with "position: absolute" style is set on its initial element.
