Dear support,

Your documentation clearly states that there is an option to export all pages:

Exporting All Data

By default, the Telerik UI TreeList for ASP.NET MVC exports only the current page of data. To export all pages, set the AllPages option to true.

@(Html.Kendo().TreeList<Kendo.Mvc.Examples.Models.TreeList.EmployeeDirectoryModel>() .Name("treelist") .Toolbar(tools => tools.Excel()) .Excel(excel => excel.AllPages(true)) .DataSource(dataSource => dataSource .Read(read => read.Action("All", "EmployeeDirectory")) ) )

However, when I try this, AllPages gives a compiler error:

Severity Code Description Project File Line Suppression State
Error CS1061 'TreeListExcelSettingsBuilder<dynamic>' does not contain a definition for 'AllPages' and no accessible extension method 'AllPages' accepting a first argument of type 'TreeListExcelSettingsBuilder<dynamic>' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) StarPMWeb C:\TFS2015\StarPMWeb\StarPMWeb.root\MAIN\Enhancements\WIPProvisions_MR\StarPMWeb\Areas\WIPPROVISIONS\Views\ParentChildPeriod\_RenderParentChildEditPeriodGrid.cshtml 706 Active

Why is this happening? Is your documentation just wrong?

I am using version 2020.1.114

If this AllPages option is not currently implemented, can you please add this to the roadmap? It seems to be a strange omission.

Thanks.

Bug report

Related item with FM issues/enhancements: telerik/kendo#10473

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Set the Create end point to throw an error, e.g: throw new Exception("some message");
  2. Click the New Folder button in the FileManager

Current behavior

The FileManager's Error event fires, its dataSource throws a js exception:
kendo.all.js:165968 Uncaught Error: Error! The requested URL returned 500 - error

and the added folder is still displayed in the FileManager view.

Expected/desired behavior

The view is refreshed and the added folder is removed.

If you have a button in the ToolBar that uses an image(rather than an icon/font), the image's vertical alignment is different in the overflow area than it is in the main ToolBar area.

The button in the overflow area has the image up too high compared to the text, which also causes the button to be taller than the "main" button as well as taller than other overflow buttons using an icon/font.

Dojo example

The example is simple 2 buttons(one using an icon and one with an image) with overflow: "both" so you can see both styles at the same time for comparison.

The icon button is the same in both places while the image button in the overflow area is different/taller/etc.

Is this a bug or expected behaviour?  If it is a bug, is there any appropriate custom CSS to make the styling consistent?

Thanks.

Bug report

When the Validator component configuration is defined using the HtmlAttributes method, the validation message for the component is rendered inside the component's DOM structure. This results in appearing of the validation message between the component's input and popup list.

  • If the validation message is defined using HtmlHelper as follows:
    @Html.ValidationMessageFor(model => model.SelectedOnsiteServiceType)
    The reported issue is not reproduced.

  • For demo project, please refer to ticket 1455511

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Define a MultiSelect inside a form as follows:
    @(Html.Kendo().MultiSelect() .Name("Months") .Placeholder("Start Typing...") .HtmlAttributes(new { style = "width:350px;", required = "required", data_required_msg = "Months is a Required Field", }) .DataSource(source => { source.Read(read => { read.Action("PopulateMonths", "Home"); }); }) )
  2. Define the Validator component as follows:
    $(function () { $("form").kendoValidator(); });

Current behavior

The validation message appears between the input and popup of the component. The popup field doesn't cover the validation message.
ezgif-2-b558bc96463c

Expected/desired behavior

The validation message should be inserted after the MultiSelect component in the DOM tree. Once the popup of the component appears on the screen, it should be stuck to the input field and cover the validation message.

Hello,

I have problem with menu control. Sometimes its items are duplicated. To reproduce it do the following:

- create a menu control;

- bind it to remote data source (to reproduce issue easier set some delay for server side method);

- hover on menu item (datasource request will start), fast leave menu item (don't wait until it open) and hover again (one more datasource request will start), leave it again (optional);

- wait some time until second request completed;

- open menu item.

As a result you will see duplicated menu items. This issue can be reproduced on your demo page https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/menu/remote-data-binding.

Could you please suggest me some workaround for this?

Artsem

I've been using the "Change" event to handle a Single Row Selection grid as that seems to be the event to use to determine when the user selects a row.

I just tried adding "persistSelection(true)" to my grid but it seems to be triggering a change event when I switch to another page and back to the previous page, or do an external $(this).data('kendoGrid').dataSource.read() on the grid.

How can I only get a change event when the USER selects a row, not the persistedSelection selecting the row?

Or at least detetect where it came from it in my Change event?

Thanks,

Bryan

Bug report

If there is a Spreadsheet on a given page and we scroll the page down using the mouse wheel, once the scrolling stops over the Spreadsheet and we try to continue it, we cannot do it. If the Spreadsheet has defined rows that are not currently visible when the mouse wheel is moved, then Spreadsheet is being scrolled, not the current page.

If the Spreadsheet has a lower number of pre-defined rows that are all displayed on the component's initialization the scrolling is again not applying to the page. Instead, moving the mouse wheel doesn't do anything until the mouse cursor is moved outside the Spreadsheet.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Open this Dojo example and run it
  2. Move the mouse cursor in the middle of the pane displaying the compiled code.
  3. Use the mouse wheel to scroll down the page and stop the scrolling once the cursor is in the zone of the Spreadsheet
  4. Scroll down again

Current behavior

Because the cursor is inside the Spreadsheet the page cannot be scrolled. If the rows configuration is commented, when the scrolling is started again, the Spreadsheet data will be scrolled.

Expected/desired behavior

If all the data in the Spreadsheet is displayed, moving the mouse wheel over the component should result in page scrolling. If there is data in the Spreadsheet, there should be some way to prevent the scrolling inside the component.

Environment

  • Kendo UI version: 2020.1.114

Hi,

We are using globalization with UI for ASP.NET MVC to translate control to French (fr-CA). However, while most messages are correctly displayed in French, there are some that are still displayed in English. For example, if we use the Grid control with filter on a 'string' column, the dropdown for the operators shows both French ("Commence par") and English ("Is empty") operators:

Looking at the source code, we can see that in ressource files "Messages.fr-FR.resx" and "Messages.fr-CA.resx", there are some messages that are still in English (for example, Filter_StringIsEmpty).

Note that corresponding text seems to be correctly translated in jQuery messages file (for example, "kendo.messages.fr-CA.js"), so it might only be a matter of applying the same translation to .resx files.

Note also that the same problem seems to be present in the source code of the latest version (2020.1.114).

Thanks!

Good Day,

I have a custom CSS CLASS that renders the background-color of the grids TABLE ROW to 'yellow'.

  • tr.background-color-yellow td { background-color: #FFFFCC; }

For example...the above CSS CLASS would 'color' the backgrounds of a TR's set of TD's.

<!-- Here is an example of the initial HTML containing the custom CSS CLASS -->
<tr data-uid="7044a8d8-2946-43f4-9f94-01bff52d2800" role="row" class="background-color-yellow">
<td role="gridcell">11</td> <td role="gridcell">1111</td> <td role="gridcell">111</td> <td role="gridcell">111</td> <td role="gridcell">111</td> <td role="gridcell">111</td> <td class="k-command-cell" role="gridcell"> <a role="button" class="k-button k-button-icontext k-grid-edit" href="#"> <span class="k-icon k-i-edit"></span>Edit </a> <a role="button" class="k-button k-button-icontext k-grid-delete" href="#"> <span class="k-icon k-i-close"></span>Delete </a> </td> </tr>

THE ISSUE
When using inline-editing on the grid...pressing the CANCEL button wipes-out & replaces any-and-all custom CSS tags in the TR.

<!-- Here is an example of the initial HTML AFTER PRESSING CANCEL...notice the custom CSS CLASS is gone -->
<tr data-uid="7044a8d8-2946-43f4-9f94-01bff52d2800" role="row">
<td role="gridcell">11</td> <td role="gridcell">1111</td> <td role="gridcell">111</td> <td role="gridcell">111</td> <td role="gridcell">111</td> <td role="gridcell">111</td> <td class="k-command-cell" role="gridcell"> <a role="button" class="k-button k-button-icontext k-grid-edit" href="#"> <span class="k-icon k-i-edit"></span>Edit </a> <a role="button" class="k-button k-button-icontext k-grid-delete" href="#"> <span class="k-icon k-i-close"></span>Delete </a> </td> </tr>

THE WORK AROUND
This bug causes the following kinds of work-around...which I feel is unacceptable.

this.on = {
	cancel: {
		grid: function (e) {

			var isTemplatedRow = e.model.IsTemplatedRow;
			if (isTemplatedRow === false) {

				// HACK: Kendo overwrites the (tr) rows ENTIRE SET of CSS CLASSES after a 'cancel' is triggered
				var uid = e.container.data().uid;
				var $context = $(e.container.context);
				setTimeout(function () {

					// Add the expected class back-in
					var $ele = $('tr[data-uid=' + uid + ']', $context)
					$ele.addClass('background-color-yellow');
				}, 400);
			}
		}
	}
};

Hi Team,

I am using a kendospreadsheet. I want to find the rownumber of last non blank cell for column C.

When i try the =SUMPRODUCT(MAX(($C$1:$C100<>"")*(ROW($C$1:$C100)))) in excel it works.

The same formula does not work in kendospreadsheet.

Please suggest if this is a bug or if formula needs any change to fit the kendospreadsheet.

Bug Report

When endless scrolling is implemented, manual DataSource operations using the DataSource APIs(query, page, sort, etc.) do not work as expected.  The endless scrolling settings are causing paging issues.

Reproduction of the problem

  1. Visit this Kendo UI Dojo.
  2. Scroll to 40.
  3. Click the Reset Filter button.

Current Behavior

The first page is only accessible, and when scrolling down the reads continue to occur.

Expected/desired behavior

The endless scrolling settings should not interfere with manual dataSource operations.

Workarounds

  1. Solution when read is called, the Kendo UI Grid will reset to its original state(dojo).
        kendo.ui.Pager.fn._refreshClick = function (e) {
            e.preventDefault();
            var grid = $("#grid").getKendoGrid();
            grid.dataSource.options.endless = null;
          	grid._endlessPageSize = 20;
          	grid.dataSource.pageSize(20);
        }
  2. Solution which overrides the data(dojo).
        kendo.ui.Pager.fn._refreshClick = function (e) {
            e.preventDefault();
            var grid = $("#grid").getKendoGrid();
            window.restoreScroll = true;
            window.scolledValue = grid.content[0].scrollTop;
            grid.dataSource._data.empty();
            grid.dataSource._pristineData = [];
