RadGrid VirtualScrolling does not scroll to the bottom when StaticHeaders are enabled. The issue could be observed in the attached project.
with client-side databinding when setting sort/filter expressions on button click and then calling the rebind or set_currentPageIndex methods the control makes multiple requests to the web service.
The problem could be replicated in the attached page.
GridAutoCompleteColumn columns cannot be created programmatically during OnLoad event, but only using the OnInit event. In the attached sample, if you comment out panelOnInit.Controls.Add(gridOnInit); and uncomment panelOnLoad.Controls.Add(gridOnLoad); when you click Edit in one row the following exception is thrown Cannot create column with the specified type name: GridAutoCompleteColumn But if you comment out panelOnLoad.Controls.Add(gridOnLoad); and uncomment panelOnInit.Controls.Add(gridOnInit); the sample works Note that if you change the GridAutoCompleteColumn for any other control type, for example GridHTMLEditorColumn, both methods will work.
Hi, I updated my code with version 2013.3.1114, but the method get_cell() of the GridDataItem has become case-sensitive. I have some codes that with version 2012.3.1016 that was working correctly. Is possibile to have the choice of case-sensitive / insensitive or at least have backward comaptibility ?
Since Q3 a change in the client-side binding of the GridTemplateColumn has been introduced. The column no longer automatically populates controls in the ItemTemplate. The change is result of an optimization in code regarding the virtualization and batch editing features of the grid. The new behavior is far more optimized and ensures much faster and robust operation of the control in various cases of client-side binding.
We have telerik Radgrid on the pages in our application. When viewed in the windows phone 8 browser the horizontal touch scroll does not work. Moreover the color of the scrollbar is almost invisible. Requests anyone to please suggest how to overcome this issue. we tried providing a skin as "Balck Metro touch" and also tried enabling "embedded skins" but none of this works.
The RadGrid OnDataBindingFailed event does not fire when WCF/WebService returns an IIS 500 Errror page. It DOES, however, fire when IIS returns a proper 500 error JSON response. In my case, the former was happening because my ASP.NET WCF services were incorrectly configured and thus throwing a standard IIS 500 error page. RadGrid should recognize the IIS 500 page as failure and spawned a OnDataBindingFailed event. NOTE: For example, RadScheduler *does* correctly interpret the IIS 500 page as a failure (RE: OnClientRequestFailed).
Hi Team Telerik, i found a bug in RadGrid. This one only appears in Chrome Webbrowser. Columnresizing only works once per column in chrome. You can see it right the way in your demo-site. Go to the Resizing Demopart and resize one column. Now try to re-resize it. It wont work. Best wishes Philipp
RadGrid throws a "Failed to load viewstate" exception in a specific setup with two level hierarchy and DateTimeColumns. Steps to reproduce: 1. Expand an item 2. Click on "Add new record button" in the expanded detail table view 3. Click "Cancel" 4. Click on"Add new record" this time on the master table view Code to reproduce: <telerik:RadGrid ID="rgComments" runat="server" AllowPaging="True" AutoGenerateColumns="false" DataSourceID="dsSpell"> <MasterTableView Width="100%" CommandItemDisplay="Top" DataKeyNames="OrderID"> <DetailTables> <telerik:GridTableView DataKeyNames="OrderID" DataSourceID="dsComment" Width="100%" runat="server" CommandItemDisplay="Top"> <ParentTableRelation> <telerik:GridRelationFields DetailKeyField="OrderID" MasterKeyField="OrderID"></telerik:GridRelationFields> </ParentTableRelation> <Columns> <telerik:GridDateTimeColumn DataField="OrderDate" PickerType="DateTimePicker"> </telerik:GridDateTimeColumn> </Columns> </telerik:GridTableView> </DetailTables> <Columns> <telerik:GridDateTimeColumn DataField="OrderID" /> </Columns> </MasterTableView> </telerik:RadGrid> <br /> <asp:SqlDataSource runat="server" ID="dsComment" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:NorthwindConnectionString %>" SelectCommand="SELECT [OrderID], [OrderDate] FROM [Orders]"></asp:SqlDataSource> <asp:SqlDataSource runat="server" ID="dsSpell" ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:NorthwindConnectionString %>" SelectCommand="SELECT [OrderID], [OrderDate] FROM [Orders]"></asp:SqlDataSource>
