Without using radFilter to setup multiple filters before applying RadGrid can only be filtered one column at a time. Can a button be added to the Grid when filtering is applied that when Clicked will filter the Grid based on all of the column filter selections that a user selects?
Such an exposed method, which returns the value from the ExportOutput, would be useful to further enhance the exporting capabilities of the RadGrid control. A very practical example would be to export numerous RadGrid controls into one Excel file.
We recently added row group functionality to our grids and we and our users are very happy with this. Only thing that bothers us is the drop functionality on the grouppanel. We have an wish to make the drop functionality of the grouppanel much more intuitive. Especially when the RadGrid is already grouped on multiple columns. The marker to indicate where the user will drop an existing grouping column is shown at the begin and the end of the group column connector between groups: Because the connector is very small it is not clear to new users where the column is dropped when it is dropped on the connector. This case can be reproduced on the RadGrid Grouping demo on your site: http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/functionality/grouping/grouping/defaultcs.aspx Forum reference: http://www.telerik.com/forums/grouppanel-column-drop-and-reorder#WLzO_nt1Pk2CZYPPIITYgA
For keyboard users who don't have a specific Context Menu key (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menu_key), they typically need to use the Windows standard SHIFT+F10 hotkey to trigger a contextmenu event. For example: 1. In IE, load http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/columns-rows/columns/context-menu/defaultcs.aspx 2. Tab to a column header link 3. Press SHIFT+F10 (standard Windows/IE hotkey to open context menu) 4. Notice the context menu displays, however, the focus is really on the IE menubar. IE supports F10 to open the menubar, but is also seeing SHIFT+F10 too. Or 1. In FireFox, load http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/columns-rows/columns/context-menu/defaultcs.aspx 2. Tab to a column header link 3. Press SHIFT+F10 (standard Windows/IE hotkey to open context menu) then press down arrow 4. Notice the context menu displays, however, the focus is really on FireFox's application system menu in the upper left. Chrome does not have this issue - it opens the grid context menu only. We need IE and FireFox to also only open the grid's context menu, and not trigger default browser behavior. According to https://yuilibrary.com/yui/docs/event/contextmenu.html, it is possible to correct this behavior by calling event.preventDefault() when SHIFT+F10 is pressed, but then trigger a synthetic contextmenu event anyway. As a workaround, we know users can press Escape to close the browser's default menu and bring focus back into the HTML document (and thus the grid's context menu), but this throws off the user experience and becomes a training issue.
Hi, Currently JAWS user cannot use the arrow keys to select a filter operator. Please enable arrow keys support to filter context menu for JAWS user. Refer Telerik support ticket - 1081707 for more information. Regards Kishor
Due to browser restrictions, the print behavior is changed and works identically to the one of IE - a new tab/dialog with the grid is opened whose print command is launched. You can observe the behavior in IE at https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/functionality/printing/defaultcs.aspx.
Add support for custom paging in the RadGrid Virtualization functionality. The idea is to enable the retrieval of part of the data from the source of data instead of retrieving all of the data every time. Without this feature the optimization technique is to cache the data source. Example is available at http://www.telerik.com/support/kb/aspnet-ajax/grid/details/virtualization-and-custom-paging
Misalignment issue in RadGrid with static headers and simple control's configuration appears in IE.
Currently Linq2Sql expressions are supported. But as Entity Framework is "de facto" the standard for data access in .NET, it would be great, if you also support ESQL expressions. This is necessary for example when data binding to entities in OnNeedDataSource event and filter expressions from RadGrid should be used for adapting query. Thanks, Roger
Currently RadGrid supports strongly typed binding to a model and the use of OnCalling DataMethods, but requires additional non-documented code to get it to work correctly. See forum post at http://www.telerik.com/forums/model-binding-selectmethod-defined-in-a-business-object#jyvrnG4qhEOdaXv_pBVt8g for the code requirements. Request putting the ItemType and OnCallingDataMethods into the MasterTableView markup and eliminate the need to override the OnInit call. The markup would end up looking like: <MasterTableView DataKeyNames="intOfficeId" ItemType="Models.OfficeModel" OnCallingDataMethods="grdAssignments_CallingDataMethods" SelectMethod="GetOffice" UpdateMethod="UpdateOffice" DeleteMethod="DeleteOffice" > This would also pave the way to strongly bind the detail grid.
Hi, RadWindow has a property as "KeepInScreenBounds", on setting of which the radwindow can not be moved out of screen area. Lets have the similar or kind of property on Edit Popup of RadGrid with Editmode=Popup? The expectation is, edit popup of radgrid should not be moved outside of screen area that is visible to the user. This is perfectly achieved by for radwindows with "KeepInScreenBounds" property. Dear Team, Please add html print button as server method with radgird. So we can get the clean html page with perfect repeated headers and footer with page nos.
