The SearchRow in RadGridView WinForms is extremely good.

https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/winforms/controls/gridview/rows/search-row

How can we implement the same in ASP.Net Ajax RadGrid?

Would be incredibly handy if we could programmatically set the image to a byte array with the RadImageTile (or I guess RadImageAndTextTile). Right now you can only set it via the ImageURL but we don't want to store the image like that, we want to read the image from the DB, so we're reading it out as a byte array.

This is possible in your RadBinaryImage, I think, but not in the RadImageTile.

RadNavigation can be setup to expand on hover (see demo - http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/navigation/functionality/expand-on-hover/defaultcs.aspx).

However, when the menu is collapsed to the More (hamburger) menu this functionality is lost. If the nodes don't have a navigate url they can be clicked to open the sub menu, but if they are set to navigate then clicking will navigate instead of opening the submenu.

Add ability to define Telerik specific ConfigSectionHandler for their settings like others (e.g.,log4Net) do.

This makes configuring environments much easier. All I need to do is point to *.Dev.config, *.Stage.config and my application is ready for the new environment.

For example, the following settings:

<configuration>
  <configSections>
    <section name="myConfigSection" type="CurrentApp.ConfigurationSectionHandler, Current" />
  </configSections>
  <myConfigSettings configSource="App_Data\Configs\MyConfigSection.config" />
  <appSettings>
    <add key="Environment" value="Local.Local"/>
...
    <add key="Telerik.ScriptManager.TelerikCdn" value="Enabled"/>
    <add key="Telerik.ScriptManager.TelerikCdn.BaseSecureUrl" value="https://yourSite.com/cdn/TelerikScripts" />
    <add key="Telerik.ScriptManager.TelerikCdn.BaseUrl" value="http://yourSite.com/cdn/TelerikScripts" />
    <add key="Telerik.ScriptManager.TelerikCdn.CombinedScript" value="Enabled" />
    <add key="Telerik.Skin" value="Bootstrap" />
    <add key="Telerik.StyleSheetManager.TelerikCdn" value="Enabled"/>
    <add key="Telerik.StyleSheetManager.TelerikCdn.BaseSecureUrl" value="https://yourSite.com/cdn/TelerikSkins" />
    <add key="Telerik.StyleSheetManager.TelerikCdn.BaseUrl" value="http://yourSite.com/cdn/TelerikSkins" />
    <add key="Telerik.StyleSheetManager.TelerikCdn.CombinedResource" value="Disabled" />
    <add key="Telerik.Web.UI.StyleSheetFolders" value="~/Content/; ~/" />
...
  <appSettings>
<configuration>

can be changed to:

<configuration>
  <configSections>
    <section name="telerikSettings" type="Telerik.ConfigurationSectionHandler, Telerik" />
  </configSections>
  <appSettings configSource="App_Data\Configs\Local.config" />
  <telerikSettings> <!-- This section does not exist and the keys are currently inside the local.config file -->
    <add key="Telerik.ScriptManager.TelerikCdn" value="Enabled"/>
    <add key="Telerik.ScriptManager.TelerikCdn.BaseSecureUrl" value="https://yourSite.com/cdn/TelerikScripts" />
    <add key="Telerik.ScriptManager.TelerikCdn.BaseUrl" value="http://yourSite.com/cdn/TelerikScripts" />
    <add key="Telerik.ScriptManager.TelerikCdn.CombinedScript" value="Enabled" />
    <add key="Telerik.Skin" value="Bootstrap" />
    <add key="Telerik.StyleSheetManager.TelerikCdn" value="Enabled"/>
    <add key="Telerik.StyleSheetManager.TelerikCdn.BaseSecureUrl" value="https://yourSite.com/cdn/TelerikSkins" />
    <add key="Telerik.StyleSheetManager.TelerikCdn.BaseUrl" value="http://yourSite.com/cdn/TelerikSkins" />
    <add key="Telerik.StyleSheetManager.TelerikCdn.CombinedResource" value="Disabled" />
    <add key="Telerik.Web.UI.StyleSheetFolders" value="~/Content/; ~/" />
  </telerikSettings>
...
</configuration>

or directly point to external configuration file:

<configuration>
  <configSections>
    <section name="telerikSettings"
             type="Telerik.ConfigurationSectionHandler, Telerik" />
  </configSections>
  <appSettings configSource="App_Data\Configs\Local.config" />
  <telerikSettings configSource="App_Data\Configs\Telerik.config" />
...
</configuration>

Add the Pan and Zoom feature found in HTMLChart to Gannt.
#1 This allows the project timelines to be zooned into and out of on the Right Hand Side, and on the Left Hand Side zoom into the 'bill of material' that makes up a Milestone to just milestone view.
#2 The Pan allows you to sweep along a long gantt chart, across days in a year. On a tablet you can just flick to the left and right to see what jobs you have on.

How can we plot planned Vs Actual on RadGantt chart? We need two rows in the Gantt for each task. The first row to show planned while the second row shows actual progress. Both Actual and Planned progress to be shown in different colors.

Sample output is attached for your quick reference.

I am migrating Excel Documents into Line of Business application into web pages.
Which means everything excel can do, my client expect the telerik controls to do!
On either a RadGrid or RadGantt I would like to be able to rotate the headings just like in Excel.
An example is a heading like 'Days' but the actual value in that column is no bigger than 99.
Another example if that the heading has a question, and the cell a check box.

Add option to move each highlighted item to the top (while searching), even if it is found outside of the visible part of the drop-down. The current behavior is to show the highlighted item at the bottom of the dropdown.

It will be helpful if we have import mpp (MS Project file) option instead of XML, this will ease users and they don't need to convert file to xml and than upload.
This is already done by other providers like bryntrum and i think it is a must as customers are suffering with export to xml and upload.

Hope telerik applies this suggestion!

In some cases, inside the Grid table, the tfoot element is rendered before the tbody element. This causes some readers to read the footer before the body. A possible workaround is moving the tfoot after the tbody in the OnGridCreated event: function OnGridCreated(sender, args) { var $ = $telerik.$; $('tfoot').each(function (index, item) { debugger var $item = $(item); var $next = $item.next(); if ($next[0]) { if ($next[0].tagName.toLowerCase() == "tbody") { debugger $item.insertAfter($next); } } }); }

these pages shows the accessibility standards for tables.
https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/tables/
https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/tables/two-headers/
https://www.w3.org/WAI/tutorials/tables/irregular/

For these two sub links "Tables with two headers" & "Tables with irregular headers", they are looking for "scope=col", "scope=row", "scope=colgroup", "scope=rowgroup".

There doesn't seem to be any built in support for "scope" to be added when using the table wizard, having set on the Accessibility tab a Heading for both a Row & Column.

Add support for "scope" be added to tables created in the Rich Text Editor.

Hi

Here is what I am trying to achieve is to make the text fill the mask from the right rather than from the left.

If my mask is #(###)###-#### and my Prompt Char is _, Then this is what I expect to happen

If I enter 11 digit number I expect to show (1)(222)-333-4444. If I enter 10 digit number I expect to show _(222)-333-4444.

The API for the Masked Text Box control has NumericRangeAlign property that should allow this to happen but setting this property value to RIGHT or LEFT has NO visible effect.

So you don't have a dedicated place to put this so I'm placing it here with the hope the right person get it.

I don't use the MSI to do my updates because I hate my controls being placed into ind folders that you came up with. I constantly find myself rummaging through them looking for the correct control.

HOWEVER.. if I manually DL them and ref the DLL and create a folder of my own making all the controls flow in in alphabetical order and I can get to the exact one I need instantly.

If the MSI can be changed to ask me for how I want them placed into VS so that happens I can then DL the MSI and get all the other features I lose doing it this way.

After talking with CS/Tech support the asp.net/Core is for MVC type applications. I'd like to suggest dropping the word "core" and changing it to MVC to avoid confusion.

So hope this gets to the right set of eyes.

Cheers!

Shapes currently support text inside the shape - how about text as a label above (or below) the shape. I want to have shapes in the form of small circles that have a text label above showing the user what the shape represents.
