Hello, this is for the list of columns on the left side of the Gantt, called TreeListView. If it would be possible to add additional columns that we select or implement during data binding, for example: Duration, other dates, description, task type, and many others that the client will select dynamically, so they must not be a static list of columns.

Thank you,
-Sam

My objective is to compare product revenue over time. This I would like to achieve using data binding. I do not have information of product names or have the product names as columns. My data table structure is having three columns:

Date
Product Name
Revenue

This I should simply be able to achieve using data binding to a table with above three columns.
In result I expect each of the Product Names to appear as independent series with revenues plotted on different dates.

A similar graph is displayed in the Line Chart documentation for RadHtmlChart.

We have a RadGrid, which has a set of columns, lets say C1 to CN.
Some of those columns are invisible and can be made visible with the Columns context menu, your control provides.
Assume a column Ci, that is not visible now.

If there exists a visible column Cx with x > i, your control works as expected. The column spans of the headline are ok.
See GoodCase_Step.jpg

If there is no visible column Cx with x > i and Ci is switched visible, your column spans within the headline become completely invalid.
See BadCase.jpg_Step.jpg

We use Version 2017.3.913.45 of your library.

Thanks for your Support!

Dear developers

I would like to see an easy way to have straight forward navigation / edit / save operations in radgrid the way it works for MS Access grids. When working in MS Access grid the record automatically gets dirty on edit, has an easy cancel by ESC button, and auto-saves without any trouble when moving to the next record. The way it works in MS Access is until 2018 still hard to find in a web-control. I managed to use the batch edit and have a kind of auto save when moving to the next record. but it is a pain because the postback action results in loosing the focus on the field you navigated to.

Why is it so hard to built what the MS boys (the old guys did great work) already built ages ago. Its about time that our web controls behave like old fashioned windows fat client controls.

Please don't lean behind, thinking that all is fine now. its not, a lot can be improved and made easier to handle and give user better user experience.

When I look at the current NEW / UPDATES for ASP.NET Ajax Controls it make me cry to see that its apparently put aside as FINISHED. Wake up, improve more or give a clear roadmap for future developments. Progress should not loose focus on the Telerik ASP.NET Ajax toolbox because that one is still a major tool for the coming 5-10 years I expect.

Currently, the RadSpreadsheet supports only Dollar as currency.

As a temporary workaround, the Kendo UI Spreadsheet (https://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/spreadsheet/index) can be used as demonstrated in this Dojo example: https://dojo.telerik.com/imAWasuJ

- Select a cell with number as value
- Open the formats dropdown
- Choose the "More Formats..." option
- Select "Currency" tab
- Choose a currency from the dropdown
- Choose the desired format.

Add table layout to radiobuttonlist control. this will facilitate the use of the control in a dynamic situation where you cannot predict the number of columns the user wants to have. table layout is available in the standard ASP control and should be in the rad version as well. Furthermore it would make our flexibility increase if the item text of the list items can contain markup language (bold, or div with style) instead of latterly displaying the HTML code as if this was normal text.

Thanks for your great work and keep focus on ASP.NET controls to improve their funtions.

This suggestion is add a css class to each anchor tag for each day, a unique css, like:
class='day20180213'.
with this we can make a css definition:
holydays.css
       day20180213 { background-color:red } // carnival
/* day YYYYmmDD */

this option has unlimited uses for any reason you want.

how it will works:
<td title="terça-feira, fevereiro 13, 2018" class="rcSelected" style=""><a class='day20180213' href="#">13</a></td>

Two requests.

1. When filtering allow tree children to be unhidden if the parent matches the pattern. Maybe add filter by level (parent, child, both).

2. Add highlight capability to show all matching node filter patterns.

When adding formatting to texts while selecting whole elements, some elements are not included in `isBlockElement` function such as <col> or <colgroup> in a way those elements get wrapped in formatting tags such as <strong>

How to Reproduce:

   Create a table in editor

```html
  <span>Outside text</span>
  <table>
     <colgroup>
          <col></col>
     </colgroup>
    <tbody>
       <tr>
            <td>Inside text</td>
        </tr>
    </tbody>
  </table>
```

Select the inside text and outsite text in editor and click for applyng BOLD for instance.

colgroup tag gets wrapped in <strong> tags.

Some of html5 tags are missing from the isblockelement check as well such as 'article', 'aside', 'audio', 'canvas', 'details', 'figcaption', 'figure', 'footer', 'header', 'hgroup', 'nav', 'output', 'section', 'video'

How is it possible to autofit / autosize a giving column (or all columns) when exporting the contents from RadGrid to xlsx using ExportStructure?

The only option available is Width with a defined value. I was unable to find an autofit / autosize function.

And also add AutoFilter feature...

Please consider to add this features :-)

Currently the only way to do anything with the default RadWizard navigation buttons (Cancel, Previous, Next, Finish) is to change the localization of them. Doing this workaround, however, will lose you the option to have any reasonable form of localization in your program.

So this is a request to add templates to allow developers to create their own sets of buttons, and expose control of the area to developers completely so they may instead redesign the whole area if they wish.

I will be working on a project that need to show appointments for 20+ resources. I looked at your demos/documentation for the scheduler and don't see any support for horizontal scrolling.
I would be great to have the scheduler scroll the resources horizontally while maintaining the same width for each resource column.

Thanks for your time.

Something prevents the timeslotcreated event from firing when the advanced form is shown and therefore all the customizations that are done within timeslotcreated event are not in effect until advanced form is closed. For example you can see different background color/image on January 1st on the attached "Capture1.png" picture, but as soon as I open the advanced form, for create/edit, those css settings are gone (see attached "Capture2.png" picture) until I close the form.

You would think that this is a pretty big bug that needs to be resolved.

Thanks.

Some of the Red controls can be used for server side only (no UI).
I typically use RadGrid to perform something that it is good at (grouping and arranging data) then export it to Excel.
So if the UI is actually and output file this can be very handy, why have a web interface if you are actually created a report of some kind.
You had a Reporting tool kit, but times have moved on to Self Service and PowerBI type tools. It just seems that you have a lot of code in DLL that could be repurposed for process pipelines, not for a web interface, tho the final results could be reused there.

I have a RadGrid with around 150 columns and a few hundred rows. Currently, I'm looping over them and setting their widths with the resizeColumn function. Unfortunately, it's triggering a recalculation of the layout every time I call this function, so the total page load time can be in the minutes.

Oddly, much of the time was spent on the line:
e.style.width=e.offsetWidth-d+"px";

Chrome's developer tools helpfully pointed me at Forced Reflow. Apparently, when a width is set, initially no extra work is done. When another width is requested, the previous width may have changed it, so the whole layout gets recalculated.

The feature I'd like to request is a function to set column widths in bulk (accepting anything like an array or a dictionary would be fine) that doesn't trigger this recalculation mid-function.

I have a RadGrid with several thousand elements on it. In attempting to improve performance, the Visual Studio profiler informed me that it spent more than half of the request in PopulatePlainPanels checking whether something was in a list. (see attached before.png)

I changed the type of the variable plainPanelsClientIDs in RadAjaxControl.cs to be a HashSet<string> instead of a List<string>. As a knock-on effect, I had to import System.Linq into RadAjaxManager.cs to get the .toArray() call to work.

The result in the attached after.png shows the percentage of execution time dropped from 55% to 3%.

I'd appreciate it if the team would evaluate this change for inclusion in future releases.

Note 1: I have not done extensive testing on this, so I don't know what might break. The variable isn't referenced much, so the only thing I'm suspicious of is reflection, which I didn't check for and don't expect.
Note 2: If importing Linq is undesirable, a more manual conversion to an array can be done pretty easily.
Note 3: plainPanelsClientIDs is .add() 'ed to in two places, and both check for membership before being called. This shouldn't be necessary for a HashSet, which simply doesn't add if it's there. This seems a very minor improvement, but I didn't actually try it yet.

At the moment, RTL support for excel like filtering is not implemented. It displays the following issues

    - menu position is wrong (tends to show up on the column to the left)
    - controls alignment inside the menu is wrong (ltr)

You can find attached a sample and screenshots with the current behavior
