We have created a KB article where a possible approach to achieve image resizing before the upload is suggested. You can find it at https://www.telerik.com/support/kb/aspnet-ajax/upload-(async)/details/resize-images-client-side-with-html5-before-uploading-with-radasyncupload

The article describes a straightforward way on how to change the uploaded image dimensions. You can further improve and modify the logic in the _uploadFile function to allow the user to define the new dimensions or use a tool to allow the users to modify the image.

I'm using couple of Rad Editor controls in my webpart and using ToolProviderID for performance optimization.
I'm initializing one rad editor toolbar from server side and using the same toolbar to provide other rad editors with their toolbar, Bascially I'm using ToolProviderID attribute to initialize other RadEditors, after doing this the Comments and Track Changes feature stop working although their options are selected in the toolbar.

<telerik:RadEditor RenderMode="Lightweight" runat="server" ID="RadEditor1" EnableTrackChanges="true" EnableComments="true">
    <TrackChangesSettings Author="AuthorName" CanAcceptTrackChanges="true" UserCssId="reU0" />
    <Tools>
        <telerik:EditorToolGroup>
            <telerik:EditorTool Name="AcceptTrackChange" />
            <telerik:EditorTool Name="RejectTrackChange" />
            <telerik:EditorTool Name="AcceptAllTrackChanges" />
            <telerik:EditorTool Name="RejectAllTrackChanges" />
            <telerik:EditorTool Name="EnableTrackChangesOverride" />
        </telerik:EditorToolGroup>
    </Tools>
</telerik:RadEditor>
<telerik:RadEditor ID="RadEditor2" runat="server" ToolProviderID="RadEditor1" EnableTrackChanges="true" EnableComments="true"></telerik:RadEditor>

Open a demo page https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/datetimepicker/overview/defaultcs.aspx?skin=Bootstrap and select Bootstrap skin. You will see that the right corners of the clock button are cutted down.

Workaround:
.RadPicker .rcSelect {
    border-top-right-radius: 4px !important;
    border-bottom-right-radius: 4px !important;
}

In GridTableView.cs, you provide a function
 protected virtual GridTableView CreateTableView() (Line 7828).
This function can be overloaded to return derived classes from GridTableView.

But, this is not overloadable completely. Because you create a GridTableView directly in protected void BuildDetailTablesFromDataSource() (Line 8808), too.
There you would have to call a virtual creator function, too.

This is necessary, because I have a lot of Trouble with your DataBind which I was able to fix with an overload. It is much to hard to make this bug visible for you, I really tried to do so already, but I had to fix this that way, because your GridTableView without my derivation fails in our szenario.

The call stack for that problem, I'd had to fix, is always like:
Exception of type 'System.Web.HttpUnhandledException' was thrown. ---> System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Cannot find column CheckSum.

                  at Telerik.Web.UI.GridTableView.CreateChildControls(IEnumerable dataSource, Boolean useDataSource)

                  at System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataBoundControl.OnDataSourceViewSelectCallback(IEnumerable data)
                  at Telerik.Web.UI.GridTableView.PerformSelect()
                  at Telerik.Web.UI.GridTableView.DataBind()

In that, your DataTableView gets an invalid sort Expression string. Therefore, I overwrote DataBind.

But this is not possible in all cases, if you create GridViewTable() objects on your own.

Best regards

I'm working on a project where I use RadScheduler TimeLineView (Grouping by resource) and one of the requirements is that they need the appointments that share a single resource to appear on the same row, instead of the current behaviour where they show on multiple rows.
I believe adding that feature to the scheduler would give a lot of flexibility in such situations.
Thank you very much

I am using the "PostbackTriggers" property of the Upload control, as described on your web site article "How to Persist Uploaded Files".

This works well for the situation where I need a postback on a control, but that control is not a "submit" control.

The problem comes when I use one of the "submit" controls (listed in the PostbackTriggers property), but a server side validation error occurs, and the form data (including uploaded files) is NOT saved to the DB. (This is a type of validation that can only be done on the server side.) In that case, the upload control loses the uploaded file information. Thus two questions:

1. Is there a way on the server side to tell the control that an error has occurred, and to continue to persist the uploaded file information?

2. Is there a way for the upload control to ALWAYS persist the uploaded file information until told on the server side that I have extracted the information I need from it?

Currently there is some space between the PlotArea and the starting/ending points of the LineSeries in RadHtmlChart.
To changethat behavior, so that it is similar to the one in AreaSeries the justified property (https://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/javascript/dataviz/ui/chart/configuration/categoryaxis.justified) can be set through the underlying Kendo Chart widget:

        <telerik:RadCodeBlock ID="RadCodeBlock1" runat="server">
            <script>
                function onLoad(sender) {

                    var opts = chart.options;
                    opts.categoryAxis.justified = true;
                    chart.setOptions(opts);
                    chart.redraw();

There is a problem with uploading file which name contains greek, hebrew or russian letters. It is also replicated with other languages that contain non-latin letters, such as Japanese or Korean.

Here are the steps to reproduce the problem.
1. Create text file "Καλώς ήλθατε.txt" and save it on local disc (file may contain any text).
2. Open http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/cloud-upload/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx
3. Click Select button and browse file "Καλώς ήλθατε.txt"
4. Message "Uploading Files 1/1" is displayed but file is not uploaded.
1. Create file Благодатное-небо-с-предстоящими.txt on local disc (file may contain any text).
2. Open http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/cloud-upload/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx
3. Click Select button and browse file Καλώς ήλθατε.txt
4. Message "Uploading Files 1/1" is displayed but file is not uploaded.

Here is the error from the console when trying to upload such a file:

When the Grid has <HeaderContextMenu> in the Markup and there is no explicitly set RenderMode of the Grid, the Grid is rendered in Classic.
It also happens if there is a reference to the ContextMenu in the code behind.

Reproduction steps:
<script>
    function f() {
        //code
        alert($find("RadGrid1")._renderMode);
        Sys.Application.remove_load(f);
    }
    Sys.Application.add_load(f);
</script>
<telerik:RadGrid ID="RadGrid1" runat="server" >
    <HeaderContextMenu></HeaderContextMenu>
</telerik:RadGrid>

Solutions:
1. Remove the HeaderContextMenu tag

2. Set the RenderMode of the Grid explicitly

For the time being the property can be set through the underlying Kendo Chart widget. For example:

		<script>
			function OnLoad(chart) {
				var widget = chart.get_kendoWidget();
				//also applies for the minor grid lines - replace majorGridLines with minorGridLines
				//Numeric series
				widget.options.xAxis.majorGridLines.step = 5;
				widget.options.yAxis.majorGridLines.step = 5;
				//Category series
				//widget.options.categoryAxis.majorGridLines.step = 5;
				//widget.options.valueAxis.majorGridLines.step = 5;
				widget.redraw();
			}

A valid SQL statement should look like

SELECT * FROM Products WHERE ([Discontinued] = 1)

or

SELECT * FROM Products WHERE ([Discontinued] = 'True')

but RadGrid provides something like

([Discontinued] = True)

in the MasterTableView.FilterExpression property.

By default RadGrid filters the data on its own after retrieving the entire data set form the data source, and the filtering operation works like that.
If you will be using the filter expression provided by the grid in a custom data source operation you may need to tweak the string first.
Note that changing this may result in a breaking change if you are already using the current syntax.

Workaround: https://www.telerik.com/support/kb/aspnet-ajax/grid/details/get-sql-compliant-filterexpressions-from-radgrid
