Possible Workaround:

Telerik.Web.UI.Grid.PositionDragElement = function(element, mouseEvent)
{
    var clientX = $telerik.isTouchDevice ? $telerik.getTouchEventLocation(mouseEvent).x : mouseEvent.clientX;
    var clientY = $telerik.isTouchDevice ? $telerik.getTouchEventLocation(mouseEvent).y : mouseEvent.clientY;

    element.style.top = clientY + $telerik.getDocumentElementScrollTop() + 10 + "px";

    element.style.left = clientX + $telerik.getDocumentElementScrollLeft() + 10 + "px";

	if ($telerik.isOpera || $telerik.isTouchDevice)
	{
	    element.style.top = parseInt(element.style.top, 10) - document.body.scrollTop + "px";
	}

};

Missing background color of the Grid's headers in IE9 due to the unsupported by the browser linear-gradient. The issue can be reproduced with Skin="Web20".

Workaround:

        div.RadGrid_Web20 .rgHeader, .RadGrid_Web20 th.rgResizeCol, .RadGrid_Web20 .rgHeaderWrapper {
            background-image: linear-gradient(#9db7db,#7b95c6 50%,#698ac0 50%,#92b3de);
            background-color: #92b3de;
        }

Code to reproduce:

When the Track Changes is enabled and a <p> element contains nothing but whitespace (newline, space or tab characters), any time one character is deleted, the entire element is deleted

Another issue relating to this, is that when the line is deleted, if there is another whitespace <p> element above the element, the cursor is placed not on that line, but on whatever line is next without any whitespace.

This behavior can be reproduced in the track-changes demo (Found at https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/trackchanges/defaultcs.aspx ) ,by following these steps:

1. Create a <p> element containing some text
2. Below this element, create 3 more containing nothing but whitespace
3. On the last line enter a space and then press the backspace key

The cursor will be moved to the <p> element containing text and the entire element will be deleted (not just the space which was entered)

Instead of utilising 3rd party jQuery or the boring old ASP client-side form/field validation why don't you guys develop your own that has nice look and functionality similar to this:

https://github.com/posabsolute/jQuery-Validation-Engine

and you could also include a password strength indicator like this while your at it:

http://git.aaronlumsden.com/strength.js/#demo

Not hard and it would nicely complement your current suite of tools, especially if it was styled from skins.

When adding formatting to texts while selecting whole elements, some elements are not included in `isBlockElement` function such as <col> or <colgroup> in a way those elements get wrapped in formatting tags such as <strong>

How to Reproduce:

   Create a table in editor

```html
  <span>Outside text</span>
  <table>
     <colgroup>
          <col></col>
     </colgroup>
    <tbody>
       <tr>
            <td>Inside text</td>
        </tr>
    </tbody>
  </table>
```

Select the inside text and outsite text in editor and click for applyng BOLD for instance.

colgroup tag gets wrapped in <strong> tags.

Some of html5 tags are missing from the isblockelement check as well such as 'article', 'aside', 'audio', 'canvas', 'details', 'figcaption', 'figure', 'footer', 'header', 'hgroup', 'nav', 'output', 'section', 'video'

Enable filtering, Enable HeaderContextMenu and HeaderContextMenuFilter.

First, filter using the HeaderContextMenu filter (e.g. OrderDate GreaterThanOrEqualTo "someDate" AND OrderDate LessThanOrEqualTo "someOtherDate"

Second, apply a filter on another column using the Header filter only (e.g. Freight GreaterThanOrEqualTo "4")

At this point, the filtering applied by the HeaderContexFilterMenu is now partially removed.

Issue only appears when Header filter and HeaderContextMenu filter are used in combination. They work as expected when used separately.

OnValueChanged event of RadInputManager does not have effects on TextBoxSettings. It considers every character valid, therefore, it does not fire the OnValueChanged event the second time, and therefore, RadInputManager does not provides back the old and new values.

This applies to data bound containers like grid template columns.
For standalone control instances, see how to use the DataSelectedField here: https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/radiobuttonlist/data-binding/server-side-data-binding

When the items in the RadRadioButtonList are declared in the markup, the SelectedValue='<%#Bind("fieldName") %>' approach works as expected, but when the items are fetched from a data source, no item is pre-selected.

This works with the standard asp:RadioButtonList and so it must work with RadRadioButtonList.

Issue explanations and workarounds are available in the attached sample pages and videos below.

In short, the workarounds are:
- use declarative items when possible
- OR, use an <asp:RadioButtonList> and a <telerik:RadFormDecorator> to get uniform appearance of the radio buttons across browsers

In Chrome and IE the clicking of the SELECT button for the uploads is kinda difficult when using MATERIAL skin. See the following video: https://www.screencast.com/t/VBe1zSss7c

How-to fix the bug:
1. Create a CSS file named dialog.css
2. Put the following class in the dialog.css file:

.RadUpload  .ruFileInput {
    height: 50px !important;
}

3. Set the DialogsCssFile property to point to the dialog.css file:

        <telerik:RadEditor ID="RadEditor1" Skin="Material" RenderMode="Lightweight" DialogsCssFile="~/dialog.css" runat="server">
            <ImageManager ViewPaths="~/Images" UploadPaths="~/Images" />
        </telerik:RadEditor>

4. Save the page.
5. Clear the browser cache and load the page in it. If needed reload the dialog contents 3-4 times to clear the cache -> right click and choose Reload frame from the Chrome context menu.

I love WebForms and the wealth in the Toolbar.
I would like to write the payload of the web page in a webform and limit the round tripping with micro webservices, so there is no PostBack. Which means I can do more clientside in a KendoUI style. This would address the criticism of the bloat that comes with ViewState in webforms offering a leaner web page, but with all the advantages of the JavaScript tooling.
For the most part a lot of this can be done already, would just prefer not to have any limitations in the controls that I can use for this. Just that there is such a driver now with the fashion of AngularJS/SPA applications suggesting that webforms cannot compete here.

Some of the Red controls can be used for server side only (no UI).
I typically use RadGrid to perform something that it is good at (grouping and arranging data) then export it to Excel.
So if the UI is actually and output file this can be very handy, why have a web interface if you are actually created a report of some kind.
You had a Reporting tool kit, but times have moved on to Self Service and PowerBI type tools. It just seems that you have a lot of code in DLL that could be repurposed for process pipelines, not for a web interface, tho the final results could be reused there.

Would be nice to have a single sign on control (eg like http://www.gigya.com/)
What this means is that you can sign on/sign up with any social login.
Would like this to work well with ajax controls and KendoUI
This sign on is megga important on mobile, but good for conversions on standard laptop or HD websites.

Problem:

With the latest version of Chrome 61 the context menu is not positioning correctly in the treeview. It only happens when the treeview is longer than the window height and there are scrollbars. The EnableScreenBoundaryDetection should be enabled too (it is enabled by default).

Reproduction: see this video for a repro https://www.screencast.com/t/Reehai09gMP. The problem does not happen in the Chrome versions prior 61.

Details and Resolution:

The context menu positioning problem is due to the following breaking change in Chrome 61 (see release notes at https://blog.chromium.org/2017/08/chrome-61-beta-javascript-modules.html):

To align with the spec and preserve browser consistency, the scrollingElement is now the documentElement in standards mode.
Chrome 61 has changed the behavior of document.scrollingElement to return document.documentElement instead of document.body to match the CSSOM View specification and this broke the positioning of the context menu when the EnableScreenBoundaryDetection is enabled.

Solution 1
Place the following override over the RadTreeView declaration:

<script>
Telerik.Web.UI.RadMenu._getViewPortSize = function () {
        var viewPortSize = $telerik.getViewPortSize();

        // The document scroll is not included in the viewport size
        // calculation under FF/quirks and Edge.
        var quirksMode = document.compatMode != "CSS1Compat";
        if (($telerik.isFirefox && quirksMode) || Telerik.Web.Browser.edge) {
            viewPortSize.height += document.body.scrollTop;
            viewPortSize.width += document.body.scrollLeft;
        }
        else if (Telerik.Web.Browser.chrome) {
            viewPortSize.height += Math.max(document.body.scrollTop, document.scrollingElement.scrollTop);
            viewPortSize.width += Math.max(document.body.scrollLeft, document.scrollingElement.scrollLeft);
        }

        return viewPortSize;
    };
</script>
<telerik:RadTreeView RenderMode="Lightweight" ID="RadTreeView2" runat="server">
    <ContextMenus>
        <telerik:RadTreeViewContextMenu ID="RadTreeViewContextMenu1"runat="server"  RenderMode="Lightweight">
            <Items>
                ...

Solution 2
Set EnableScreenBoundaryDetection to false. This will disable the screen boundary detection and some parts of the context menu could be rendered beneath the browser borders when there isn't enough space to be rendered on the visible screen. You will have to use the browser scrollbars to show the hidden part of the menu.

The issue is scheduled for fixing in R3 2017 SP1, the release date of which is not yet decided. Please use the provided solutions above until the SP1 goes out officially.

 I am attaching 2 pictures to show what's happening in version 2017.2.621. In the newer release I have to set the font & size specifically or the text is larger that the box. It was not this way on previous releases.
Here is the code I am using to get it to display properly. However, it did work (as in picture 1) with out the specific font items before.

<telerik:RadComboBox ID="RCB1" runat="server" DataSourceID="SqlDataState" DataTextField="abbreviation" DataValueField="abbreviation" Height="200"  MarkFirstMatch="true" Skin="Office2010Blue" Font-Names="Open Sans" Font-Size=".73em" ForeColor="#64758F" onFocus="this.select()"  Width="150px" EmptyMessage="Choose State...">

The contrast between the colors for the background and the text in the Tooltip of the Chart series is very low (dark background and black text). https://www.screencast.com/t/fhx6937j

The problem is most obvious in the Outlook, Simple, Web20 and Sunset skins.

Workaround would be setting the Color property for the ToolTipAppearance to White

When selecting an item with Enter key, the rawEvent propagation is not canceled and if a button with submit behavior is on the page, it is clicked. https://www.screencast.com/t/sGVXL2baFj

Including this script to the page can be a temporary workaround:
var _onEnterKeyOld = Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox.prototype._onEnterKey;
    Telerik.Web.UI.RadComboBox.prototype._onEnterKey = function (e) {
        _onEnterKeyOld.call(this,e);
        e.preventDefault()
    }
