This should improve performance in this situation when client side data-binding can be used.
Using EnableTimeIndependentFiltering with a DatePicker works very well but I would like to see a EnableDateIndependentFiltering property. Can date independent filtering be added to the time picker control in the RadGrid? As it is now you can add a time picker filter column but it does not filter properly since it looks at both the date and time portions of a datetime field.
It should be client's decision to style his grid, we can not change the dimentions, since it will bre breaking change for the rest of the customers
The latest update of Chrome browser Version 33.0.1750.117 breaks the radgrid vertical scrolling with these settings: <ClientSettings AllowColumnHide="True" AllowKeyboardNavigation="True"> <Scrolling FrozenColumnsCount="1" UseStaticHeaders="True" AllowScroll="True" EnableVirtualScrollPaging="True" /> </ClientSettings>
I spend too much time hunting through the design time settings looking for a property settings. For example, your documentation indicates that I can produce a message to ask a user to confirm a row deletion when they click on a Delete button by adding some text to the ConfirmText property of the GridButtonColumn. Where the heck is this? I wish you would provide a "Search for this property or method" in you design control so that I could easily find the setting. Same suggestion goes for all of your complex controls. Thanks!
I am using a user control to insert and update the data found in the MasterViewTable as well as other detail items bound in child tables not included in the grid. How does one pass the key value to the user control. I am new to Telerik but it shouldn't be this difficult.
I am new to telerik controls. My requirement is i should display "n" number of items based on values available in a xmldocument which is generated at runtime. is it possible to add the columns at aspx itself and bind it or it can be done only through dynamically creating datasource and binding it? Also i should show some images and checkboxx for selection based on some conditions
Natural Sort-Option for RadGrid to sort the items in the grid in a natural way. By natural sort we mean sorting like StrCmpLogicalW (Win32 API).
This is not a bug. In order to show the value into the GridDropDownColumn the relation between fields from the GridDropDownColumn data source and the grid datasource must be correct. Into the attached project in order to show the value in GridDropDownColumn the GridDropDownColumn's DataField needs to be "MyItemID": <telerik:GridDropDownColumn DataField="MyItemID" DataSourceID="SqlDataSourceColors" FilterControlAltText="Filter Color column" HeaderText="GridDropDownColumn" ListTextField="ColorName" ListValueField="ColorID" SortExpression="ColorName" UniqueName="MyItemIDMyItemID"> </telerik:GridDropDownColumn> Additionally the filtering also works as expected. I have created a dynamic hierarchical grid bind with dataset. I would like to have provision for Add/Update/Delete. I could not do that. even i don't see any demos for the same to my knowledge that is not doable. Is there a way to do that please redirect me?
Currently to use a UserControl in RadGrid, it has to be in EditFormSettings defined as UserControlName. This functionallity requires filling all the controls of UserControl again on ItemDataBound event. It should be possible to put the UserControl in FormTemplate when EditFormType is "Template" . Thank you.
Is any option to use RadGrid in disconnected mode. So when user lost connection with internet(intranet), he can continue to work with grid - add new record, edit records. In html 5 appear such technologies like HTML5 Storage,Web Sql. Is it any way to interact with them?
People keeps complaining that web grids are slower and more difficult to use than Excel. We definitely need a radgrid control with excel-like editing. Ideally we need the look-and-feel of the radspreadsheet, with the fixed columns of the radgrid, the events for updating a database, and maybe direct databinding to a database table. What they want to see is Excel. Like the MS-Access UI, when they move (with keyboard) from row to row, they expect the database to get updated accordigly.
