Similar to the Scale Breaks functionality in RadChart - http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/chart/features/scale-breaks
At present, when content arrives from one of the load-on-demand mechanisms in RadToolTipManager (AJAX request, web service, WCF web service), it is expected that it has static dimensions that match those set in the Width and Height property of the control. Having an autosizing feature similar to RadWindow's should let it update its size (e.g., height by provided width) and position according to the new content when it arrives. Samples are attached that showscase examples of resizing the tooltip once content arrives so you can use as base and implement similar resizing logic by calculating the dimensions of the content that came back.
Auto-Fit column width when exporting to excel using Format="Xlsx" I'd really like to have the columns automatically adjust to fit the width of the content.
You should be able to prevent the horizontal/vertical overlapping of routed connections . This way the connections should be easier to differentiate. 1. Could this be a setting where there is no overlapping of connections? 2. Even if I use a different color (red) for HoverSettings only the most recent created connection is displayed. At make the selected (Hovered) selection show when clicked. 3. This is a show stopper for us. We might have to try a different product because our clients need to differentiate the different paths (connections) in a complex Diagram. There is a similar request for this same missing feature in your other products at https://feedback.telerik.com/Project/143/Feedback/Details/134524-diagram-add-a-way-to-prevent-overlapping-of-routed-connections
Hi Could we have an "export to excel functionality" in "rad grid" to a "predefined formatted excel file". So my excel exported file wont loose the formatting. Thanks
In the LayoutColumn we can easily set different Span which sets the width of the columns based on the viewport size. A similar implementation with LayoutRow is required where based on viewport size, the height of the respective row can be set. Properties can be: Height [Defaault Height of the Row] HeightXl HeightLg HeightSm etc.. One potential issue is that the content of the rows determines their height (and doing it differently can break the layouts): https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/pagelayout/structure/rows. Nevertheless, you can use their CssClass property and cascade through it in a @media query of your own that will provide the desired appearance. For example, you can place you own containers that will receive the necessary rules. Another caveat is how to determine the height, especially when set in percent. The layout may be in a container that does not span the entire viewport, and height in percent poses a lot of requirements on the entire HTML structure outside of the control as well (all parent elements having explicit dimensions, and no sibling elements being present next to elements with height in percent). Considering these potential issues, you can use the CSS solution attached below.

Sometime it would be better to have a layout that is not in the metro style. Where the default is: 1 2 5 6 3 4 7 8 There are scenarios where: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 would work much better. The tile list fits in metro style apps well but has other uses where that style is not really desired. There has been interest in this for the past couple years in the forum. Thanks Michael
Client Export Manager currently exports the WYSWG and currently does not include page resizing. A great change to this control would be to include the ability to define the page size and content alignment. When this was asked during the webinar, the recommendation was to not use the Export Manager and instead do my own coding of the export to PDF using the PDF Processing tools. Rather than coding the PDF conversion whole cloth, if the Client Export Manager should generate the PDF and pass it off to PDF Processing for fine-grain control over page size.
At the moment when disabling a RadTreeNode on server/client side the complete node gets disabled with the CheckBox. We had a use case where we would like the node to stay functional (collapsable/expandable/clickable/hover-effect) but only the checkbox to become disabled. As this can't be achieved with the RadTreeView we had to build a work-around for that. Most likely people in need of this feature make a new HTML-variable to store/transmit/apply the state of the checkbox since the manipulation of the Checkboxes gets lost in a postback. This would have to be implemented as a server/client-feature as it is with the enabled/disabled-state of the RadTreeNode. Kind regards
Hi, Our Accessibility partner while evaluating our product for 508 compliance we got one report saying RadGrid control is not accessible. We do have enablearia attribute on the radgrid and is emitting the aria-attributes as mentioned in your demo. http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/accessibility-and-internationalization/wai-aria-support/defaultcs.aspx As per them : "So it does not alert the user that arrow keys may be used to navigate it". I have attached a snippet of their report regarding radgrid accessibility. Can you please let me know if anything is missing. Thanks and best regards, Mirang
In RadGrid, we can use the ClientSettings.Scrolling.UseStaticHeaders property to have a fixed header when scrolling the grid. This requires a fixed height of the grid. However, what if we do not want a fixed height of the grid, but rather want the grid to flow down the page, using as much space as necessary do display its records. In such a scenario, the grid header will disappear when we scroll down the page. I have implemented a kind of fix for this in one of my projects. Instead of trying to explain how it works, I have prepared an example. You can find it here: http://www.ifag.no/RadGridHeader.aspx Maybe some of you can suggest even better solutions to the scenario I have described. Comments are welcome!
Right now we do not have a way to show some tooltips over Axis Labels This is useful when we have big names for Axis Labels, we can put some short cut names be default and then show full name over tool tip. We can use Series tooltip, but it looks ugly for stacked series when you have 4 to 5 series
Hi, Would love to have feature for reorder animation and drop placeholder when user is reordering the item(s) in the Radlistbox. A example would be the list in invisionapp.com as attached. Another example would be like JQUERYUI's sortable plugin. URL: https://jqueryui.com/sortable/#placeholder. Thanks.
Please add a setting for the Grid in batch edit mode to enable prompting to save changes. The prompt should occur when navigating away from the page, when paging, when filtering, when refreshing, or any other action that would cause loss of changes without a save. For details on how I implemented this manually, please see ticket 933229.
I have a scenario in my web application where I need possibility to sort values in RadPivotGrid by field existing in datasource, but is not displayed in RadPivotGrid. For Example I have flats that should be sorted in order defined in field sort_order, I can add this field to RadPivotGrid, but I don't want to show it to user. This approach works perfectly with standard RadGrid, but unfortunately does not work with RadPivotGrid. Flats are sorted by their names, with is wrong from my point of view.
I am migrating Excel Documents into Line of Business application into web pages. Which means everything excel can do, my client expect the telerik controls to do! In your RadGantt controls, the Left hand side of the control is perceived to be a RadGrid this it is expected to have the same affordances of radGrid. Which means that I expect the <CommandItemSettings ShowAddNewRecordButton="false" /> to work. Which means I can apply all my learning of radGrid to the left hand side of radGantt.
