Another post appears as "Provide ability to paste/insert images from clipboard/local drive directly into RadEditor" and talks about similar but to date a facility does not exis as I envisage.

When I work with for example a web mail facility like Yahoo Mail I am using an editor like RadEditor to create my email. When I say I want to attach a file this editor assumes that the file will come from my local drive (rather than a Yahoo server). This is what I would like to see as an option for Radeditor image handling - something like a button that says "upload". Clicking on it takes you to a dialogue to simply upload from local into the document. I appreciate that uploading from local can be done with existing Radeditor Image manager but this also offers access to server space that in the case of e.g. web mail is irrelevant and confusing.

In an ideal world I would also like the uploaded document to be automatically associated with the document (email) that it has been loaded into although that can of course be handled manually.

RadTextBox need to include the ability for Columns. right now any docx that has a column gets stripped out when loaded. most business documents we deal with have columns.

I have found this feature in other competitive products so i hope Telerik has on on the roadmap and implements it soon.

When using FormatBlock Tool with text inside <div> element the result differs under the different browsers.

IE:
- cursor placed inside the <div> with no selection: the <div> tag is replaced by the selected heading.
- partially selected text: the <div> is split into two and the selection is wrapped with a heading tag.

FireFox:
- cursor placed inside the <div> with no selection: a heading tag wraps the whole text and the <div> is preserved as parent element.
- partially selected text: the <div> is split into two and the selection is wrapped with a heading tag.

Chrome:
- cursor placed inside the <div> with no selection: the <div> tag is replaced by the selected heading.
- partially selected text: the <div> is split into two and the selection is wrapped with a heading tag.

Provide the ability to select and resize table elements in Chrome and Safari. This feature is already implemented in the docs.google.com web editor by replacing the table cells with div elements and providing resize handlers for them.

Currently, the font family will not be passed to the Editor content. It's reproducible when loading tools from xml file. Possible workaround is to use ContentAreaCssFile to set such style or on the OnClientLoad event:

    <script>
        function OnClientLoad(sender, args) {
            sender.get_contentArea().style["font-family"] = "Arial, Verdana, Tahoma";
        }
    </script>

When ContentAreaMode="Div" RadEditor's Content Area's width automatically re-sizes with the content. If width is applied to reContentArea div element, the problem is resolved.

Actual behavior: by placing a long word or pasting an image larger than the content area's dimensions, its width is automatically expanded. (see ActualBehavior.png)

Expected Behavior: the content area's width should remain unchanged despite word length and pasted image dimensions. (see ExpectedBehavior.png)

The toolbar doesn't show when its mode is ShowOnFocus and PageTop in IE11

A possible resolution is to attach a function to the editor's "focusin" event, the logic of which is to force the visibility state of the toolbar. You can examine the following example:

<telerik:RadEditor runat="server" ID="RadEditor1"
	ToolbarMode="ShowOnFocus" OnClientLoad="OnClientLoad">

</telerik:RadEditor>

<script type="text/javascript">
	function OnClientLoad(editor, args) {
		editor.attachEventHandler("focusin", function (e) {
			var toolAdapter = editor.get_toolAdapter();

			setTimeout(function () {
				var isVisible = toolAdapter._toolbarHolder ? toolAdapter._toolbarHolder.isVisible() : false;
				if (!isVisible) {
					toolAdapter._showToolbarHolder(true);
				}
			}, 0)
		});
	}
</script>

'Accept All' and 'Reject All' track changes buttons stay enabled if CanAcceptTrackChanges="false". At the same time Accept and Reject buttons are properly disabled.

The behavior is observed both with ToolbarMode set to "Default" and to "Ribbonbar".

A temporarily workaround for ToolbarMode='Default' is:

		 <telerik:RadEditor ID="theEditor" EnableTrackChanges="true" runat="server"
			   OnClientLoad="OnClientLoad" OnClientSelectionChange="OnClientSelectionChange" >
			 <Tools>
				 <telerik:EditorToolGroup>
					  <telerik:EditorTool Name="AcceptTrackChange" Text="Accept" />
			<telerik:EditorTool Name="RejectTrackChange" Text="Reject" />
			<telerik:EditorTool Name="AcceptAllTrackChanges" Text="Accept All" />
			<telerik:EditorTool Name="RejectAllTrackChanges" Text="Reject All" />
			<telerik:EditorTool Name="EnableTrackChangesOverride" Text="Enable Track Changes Override" />
				 </telerik:EditorToolGroup>
			 </Tools>
			   <TrackChangesSettings CanAcceptTrackChanges="false">
			   </TrackChangesSettings>
			 <Content>
				 <strong title="Formatted by RadEditorUser on Tuesday, May 08, 2012 5:59:11 PM" class="reFormat reU0" author="RadEditorUser" timestamp="1336489151795" browsercommand="Bold">RadEditor</strong>
			 </Content>
			 </telerik:RadEditor>
		<script type="text/javascript">
			function OnClientLoad(editor, args) {
				if (!editor.get_canAcceptTrackChanges()) {
					editor.get_toolAdapter().getToolByName("RejectAllTrackChanges").set_enabled(false);
					editor.get_toolAdapter().getToolByName("AcceptAllTrackChanges").set_enabled(false);
				}
			}
			function OnClientSelectionChange(editor, args) {

				if (!editor.get_canAcceptTrackChanges()) {

					setTimeout(function () {

						editor.get_toolAdapter().getToolByName("RejectAllTrackChanges").set_enabled(false);
						editor.get_toolAdapter().getToolByName("AcceptAllTrackChanges").set_enabled(false);
					}, 0);
				}
			}
		</script>

A workaround for ToolbarMode='Ribbonbar' is setting the following style:
  .rrbDisabled, .AcceptTrackChange, .RejectTrackChange
	    {
            opacity: .45;
	    }

There are some areas within the RADEditor that do not support localization:

1. Alerts for Accept All and Reject All track changes.
2. The Comments user interface.
3. Certain strings in the Undo menu.

See attached.

Steps:
1. Add some track changes text using Author=User0 and UserCSSId="reU0".
2. Change the Author to "User1" and UserCSSId to "reU1".
3. Click inside of User0's tracked text and start typing.

Results: The new text is displayed as if User0 wrote it, in User0's color.

Expected Result: The new text that was injected by User1 in the middle of User0's text would be have User1's color and hover text that pertains to User1. (Similar to how Word does it.)

Telerik should provide the ability to dynamically create and edit the RadRibbonBar toolbar of RadEditor. Right now it is possible to create and edit the toolbar via the provided XML file.

In RADEditor, the date and time are shown when hovering over someone's Track Changes or Comments. In order to cater to global audiences, this request is for the ability to specify the date and time format that it will use when displaying those tooltips.

Using the delete key in the content area of the RadEditor sometimes cause incorrect behavior to be encountered, e.g., content disappearance, incorrect elements to be removed etc.

For example pressing delete key before a list element, the li tag is removed, instead of just the cursor to be positioned in it.

This behavior comes from the browser and there is no RadEditor logic that interferes with it.

It would be nice if this inconsistencies are handled via custom commands that act more stable across browsers.

The following issues are fixed with this item:

Pressing backspace in a table sometimes inserts non breaking spaces
Could not complete the operation due to error 800a025e when deleting table columns
Redundand nbsps are added to the content using backspace inside <ul> in IE9
IE10 crashes when nested lists are highlighted and deleted
Incorrect List nesting is generated when a Paragraph is deleted via backspace key under IE11
