Currently, by using ExternalDialogsPath property, developers can extend the built-in dialogs by adding the user controls in a local folder. It would be a nice-to-have feature, if these user controls can be also located in a virtual folder.

Currently, RadEditor supports single level context menu only. We had one of the requirement to have a multilevel context menu (like - menu --> sub menu). It would be really nice to have this feature in the upcoming release as it makes the RadEditor more user friendly.

In RadEditor with Ribbon Bar Toolbar When we click  Type 1 Dropdown (Here "Font Name", "Real font size", "Foreground Color", "Background Color", "Apply CSS Class", "Paragraph Style" and "Undo") it is opened or expanded and if click on same expanded drop-down control it still remains open instead it should be closed(Toggle Behaviour) on any "Type 2" Dropdown then "Type 1" dropdown is still remaining open or expand.

If the user opens a dialog (Table Wizard, for example) clicking the 'OK' button applies the new changes, but does not close the dialog - it instead loses focus.

The bug is reproduced in all versions of Internet Explorer when RadEditor is configured to use classic dialogs.

When RadEditor's ContentAreaMode is Div the entire page is printed instead of just the content.

Possible solution is changing the mode to Iframe as it is by default.

There should be two properties under the SpellCheckSettings that let the developer prevent the alerts that are shown when there are no errors and when spellcheck finishes.
They could be called SuppressCompleteMessage and SuppressNoErrorsMessage. They would both be boolean and default to false to prevent a breaking change.

In order to support the described situation in your project you need to further implement a custom logic that transforms the img's src's value to base46.

You can find attached an example which you can follow.

The paste functionality in RadEditor does not work when EnableTrackChanges property is set to true. This behavior is observed under Chrome and Safari.

Cut, Copy and Paste commands shortcuts are not respected in RadEditor. This is preventing the users to apply custom shortcuts to these commands as it is described in the documentation:

This may result in invalid content being sent to the server or incorrect behavior of the client-side.

Add a property for setting the default mode of RadEditor (Design, HTML, Previw). Currently this could be obtained using the approach in the following help article:

I think RadEditor is starting to look like a good processor integration, however to make it really good it should support Shapes, Charts.

The issue is that it does not support then now, but more that it strips them out of an existing document with then in it when loaded. I personally think this will make our customers mad if we can't have "true" docx loading etc.

Love to see this Editor become the De-facto for developers and this is what it will take.

When the RadEditor is used on Chrome, it is not focused and you click on the empty space in the content area or call the client-side function 'setFocus', the cursor in the content area will not appear, because the editor does not get the focus.

You can use the following workaround to avoid the problem when the editor's content is clicked:
        <telerik:RadEditor runat="server" ID="RadEditor1" OnClientLoad="OnClientLoad">
        </telerik:RadEditor>

        <script type="text/javascript">
            function OnClientLoad(editor, args) {
                if ($telerik.isChrome) {
                    setTimeout(function () {
                        var body = editor.get_contentArea();
                        var contentElm = editor.get_contentAreaElement();

                        body.style.height = (contentElm.offsetHeight - 10) + "px";
                    }, 0);
                }
            }
        </script>

Currently RadEditor does not support ShortCuts when its toolbar is set to RibbonBar.

Possible option is to register the shortcut via client-side approach, by using the ShortcutManager object (http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/editor/client-side-programming/shortcutmanager-object):

<telerik:RadEditor ID="RadEditor1" runat="server" ToolbarMode="RibbonBar" OnClientLoad="OnClientLoad">
</telerik:RadEditor>

<script>
    function OnClientLoad(editor, args) {
        editor.get_shortCutManager().addShortCut("TemplateManager", "CTRL+ALT+S");
    }
</script>

Hi,

is it possible for radeditor to put red line for mis spell words as you type, like MS word and Google docs.

Regards,
Syed
