So cool RadHtmlChart navigator should be able to be attached to non-stock layout charts, support multiple databound series and y-axis items other than financial data
The idea is to let a simple property have the RadWindow close on outside click like the RadLightBox: http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/lightbox/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx. At the moment, a few lines of code are needed and you can find examples here: http://www.telerik.com/forums/close-modal-on-overlay-click#DGbE7tSl3kWR926gm99m9A.
<telerik:RadMaskedTextBox ID="RadMaskedTextBox2" Runat="server" Mask="<0..255>.<0..255>.<0..255>.<0..255>" ZeroPadNumericRanges="false" PromptChar=""> </telerik:RadMaskedTextBox> Should render 192.168.1.1 instead of 192.168.__1.__1
This feature would be useful when the bound markers are dynamically changing. With such functionality the end-user will be able to automatically examine all bound markers and would not need to pan or zoom.
The ASP.NET community really seems to be missing a proper property grid. The only example I could dig out was the outdated implementation on codeplex: http://propertygrid.codeplex.com/ I'd like to see one such implementation from Telerik.
I would like to suggest a new control build from the same paradigm as the RadSocialShare. The control should enable a website to provide an easy way to setup shared sign up / login from different providers on your website. E.g. an easy way to let users sign up using their facebook account or Google account etc.
When using custom shapes (circles, triangles, etc) in a RadHtmlChart, the custom shape should be displayed in the legend instead of always a square. This is because when printing with a black & white printer, the colored squares won't help the reader read the chart, however the shapes would.
Please add screenboundary detection for expandable menu items. When there is not enough space for menu items to expand on the right side, expand them to the left side and vice-versa. See attached screenshot for more information
If you set a specific paper size and the content that you are trying to export to PDF exceeds the size of the paper, the content is cut off. The RadClientExportManager needs to overflow this content to a new page. This functionality would be consistent with the RadGrid's PDF export capabilities. Without it, the RadClientExportManager is only useful for generating PDFs IF one knows the exact size/dimensions of the content being exported.
Possible BreadCrumb integration with RadMenu and Orgchart: http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/menu/examples/programming/showpath/defaultcs.aspx http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/orgchart/examples/applicationscenarios/drilldownwithbreadcrumb/defaultcs.aspx
RadPageLayout is a big help on creating a responsive design however, I find it hassle on changing its contents since you must use Source view in Visual Studio, 2010 SP1 to be specific, while Design view only shows you the appearance of the content of the page layout and you cannot edit it right there. I was thinking if you have this already in mind, the capability of changing the contents of the page layout while in Design view in order to see the changes right away and also, to have the properties listed on the Properties pane for each row, column and so on. If there are any other way I can do as alternative for now in order to modify the contents of a RadPageLayout with ease please let me know while waiting for the next release if this would have a good point in your evaluation. Thanks in advance!
It'd be nice to have templatecolumns in the column definitions. Also that bound columns bounds to different properties other than expected, ie: Title, ID, etc. So for example I could implement different behaviors based on a gantt diagram. <telerik:GanttBoundColumn AllowEdit="true" UniqueName="colSelected" DataField="Selected" AllowSorting="false" DataType="Boolean"> </telerik:GanttBoundColumn> This should render a checkbox for example, but DataType="Boolean" its probably thought for Summary field. I know this control is still on beta, but at least task selection would be nice to have. Also I would like this control to be more performance optimized , In the project I want to implement it I need to draw quite a few tasks. Thanks
For complex wizard setups, some later steps can be dependent on choices a user makes on some initial tabs. For the RadWizard, it would be nice to be able to dynamically show and hide the tabs and steps from the User based on their choices (from client-side or server-side code). This would make the control a ton more useful and capable. Thanks.
In it's current state the RadButton only emulates the looks of a SplitButton, but not the behaviour. In my point of view, such control should prove valuable to customers. More over, there is a growing need of base controls since we already have a at least three such implementations. A RadSplitButton should be the base (or it's base should be the base) for all control specific implementations of a split button
