when deleting files from radasyncupload via the "built-in" delete button, "get_fileName()" method in both the upload_removing and upload_removed events returns correct data. However, when deleting files via the api, the get_fileName() method returns bad content.

built-in button something like:
document.pdf

api something like:
document.pdf<span class="ruFileProgressWrap"><span class="ruFileProgress"></span></span>

to reproduce:
1. run attached web form. select file for upload. click remove button. view console. all good.

2. click the "delete via api" checkbox to enable. select another file. view console. bad.

when deleting files from radasyncupload via the "built-in" delete button, both the upload_removing and upload_removed events are fired. However, when deleting files via the api, only the uploadRemoved event is fired.

to reproduce:
1. run attached web form. select file for upload. click remove button. view console. note console entries have text "filename in UPloadRemoving.." as well as "filename in UploadRemoved...". Good

2. click the "delete via api" checkbox to enable. select another file. view console. Note console entry only has text "filename in UploadRemoved..." bad.

when files are deleted via the user interface, this "frees up" the max file count for additional files to be uploaded. When files are deleted via API, the deleted files are still counted against the maxfilecount, and are not "freed up"

to reproduce:
run the attached web form.
do not select "delete via api" checkbox
add and remove a number of files.
good.

reload.
do not select "delete via api"
upload file A
select "delete via api"
upload file A one more time (note it will be deleted via api before it actually gets uploaded)
deselect "delete via api"
upload file B
note you can no longer upload files, allthough only 2 have been uploaded and maxfilecoutn is 3
bad.

Telerik version - 2011.1.614.35
RadAsyncUpload issues on Safari 5.1.7, IE 9 and Chrome 28.0.1500.95 -

Following is the list of issues seen on the mentioned browsers -
a. On Safari, the upload file functionality doesn't work at all –
On Safari, when a file is selected from the Open dialog box, the dialog box closes and nothing happens after that. The file is not shown in the upload control, and no event is fired.

b. On IE, the Open dialog box shows the specific file types by default, whereas on Chrome, all file types are shown by default –
We have set the ‘AllowedFileExtensions’ property of the RadAsyncUpload to “image/png,image/x-png,image/jpeg,image/pjpeg,image/gif,.x-png,.gif,.jpeg,.jpg,.png”. On IE 9, when the Open dialog box is opened, by default, the mentioned extensions as selected in the File Type drop down. Whereas, on Chrome, ‘All’ is shown in the File Type drop down. We would like this behavior to be consistent. Is it possible to show ‘All’ on IE9?

c. On Chrome, uploading a file with size greater than the mentioned file size gives a Silverlight error (Refer SilverlightPluginError.png) –
i.	The MaxFileSize is set to 500 KB. When user tries to upload a file with size greater than 500 KB, the gets an alert message indicating he cannot upload a file beyond the said size. This works fine on all browsers other than Chrome. On Chrome, when a file with size greater than 500 KB is selected from the Open dialog box, the page seems to hang for some time. Then an alert message is displayed with following message –
The following plug-in is unresponsive: Unknown
Would you like to stop it?
ii.	Upon clicking ‘Yes’, following message is shown below the Chrome address bar
Silverlight plug-in has crashed
iii.	And, the alert indicating file size greater than 500 KB cannot be uploaded is shown.

Why not add a "basic mode" to radasyncupload? that saves the selected file(s) in the target folder as soon as the upload is complete without the need for an extra postback?

Or facilitate a postback through a popup "upload complete" with an ok button?

And a little feedback in general on the documentation nearly all the examples have all the bells and whistles active, which makes them hard to read for programmers with little experience like me.

Why not have every control with a absolutely minimalistic example that only shows the core functionality?

The drop zone and the custom drop zones are shifted below their expected positions in Edge 40.

Check the following video demonstration https://www.screencast.com/t/2m8SxR8jbwb.

The problem is reproducible in the http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/asyncupload/examples/draganddrop/defaultcs.aspx demo.

The RadAsyncUpload control is used on forms with other controls, and sometimes we need to validate the control, that is require that the user uploads a file before the form can be submitted. We have to use a Customvalidator and check the controls client-side properties to see if it has a file. But if you set the ControltoValidate property an exception occurs.
Please support this property so that a radAsyncUpload control can be associated with an ASP.Net validator.

When the ChunkSize of RadAsyncUpload is set the files are not fully uploaded. A sample excel file to reproduce the issue is attached to this reply.
Temporary fix:
Remove the ChunkSize setting of the AsyncUploade:

        <telerik:RadAsyncUpload ID="UploadFile" runat="server" MultipleFileSelection="Automatic"
            OverwriteExistingFiles="true" ReadOnlyFileInputs="true" InputSize="45" EnableViewState="true" TargetFolder="~/UploadedFiles">
        </telerik:RadAsyncUpload>

Steps to reproduce:

1. Run the following configuration and upload the attached to this item file
        <telerik:RadAsyncUpload ID="UploadFile" ClientIDMode="AutoID" runat="server" MultipleFileSelection="Automatic"
            OverwriteExistingFiles="true" ReadOnlyFileInputs="true" ChunkSize="3145728" InputSize="45" EnableViewState="true" TargetFolder="~/UploadedFiles">
        </telerik:RadAsyncUpload>
        <telerik:RadButton runat="server" Text="Upload"></telerik:RadButton>

Expected: An 11MB file is uploaded
Actual: An 8MB file is uploaded (the last chunk part is missing)
