Endless Loading screen is shown over RadPane when the set_showContentDuringLoad(false) method before changing the contentUrl of a RadPane (which is already showing another external page).

Workaround: Set the ShowContentDuringLoad="false" property of the RadPane in the markup initially

Code to reproduce the bug:

        <script>
            function loadNewPage() {
                var contentPane = $find("RadPane2");
                contentPane.set_showContentDuringLoad(false);

A JavaScript error is thrown when the Print dialog is being disposed.
Error message:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'dispose' of undefined

    at $IE.Print.dispose (<anonymous>:90:18)

Workaround:
Enable the external dialogs of the Editor/ImageEditor and modify dispose() function of the Print.ascx dialog:

Print.ascx

				dispose: function ()
				{
					this._attachHandlers(false);

					this._printBtn.dispose();
					this._cancelBtn.dispose();

					$IE.Print.callBaseMethod(this, "dispose");
				},

.hasChanges() results in records flagged for Delete to not actually get deleted when .saveChanges() executes.

I found the same behaviour on a LiveDemo example that checks .hasChanges(): Grid - Binding to Telerik ClientDataSource

Steps to reproduce:

  • Make any change to the first record, such as modifying the Contact Name.
  • On the second record, Click the "x" under the DELETE column to mark it for delete.
  • Click any column heading to sort.  (This calls a UserAction event handler that calls .hasChanges())
  • Choose to Cancel at the popup prompt.
  • Click "Save changes".
  • Monitor the browser console, you will find that webservice UpdateCustomers is called,  but DeleteCustomers is not.

I started with this demo:   Live Demos\DataForm\Data-Binding\Client-Data-Source-Binding

The demo code is working well.

However, I run into a problem when I try to add a TimePicker or DateTimePicker to the EditItemTemplate or InsertItemTemplate,  as it is seems to be causing the ItemTemplate to not "hide".    Also,  the clock icon on the picker fails to display the popup with the list of times.

Pasting the following into the EditItemTemplate or InsertItemTemplate is causing it to break:

<div class="rdfRow">
    <telerik:RadTimePicker RenderMode="Lightweight" ID="temp" Width="100px" runat="server" dateinput-label="" DateInput-DateFormat="HH:mm" TimeView-TimeFormat="HH:mm"></telerik:RadTimePicker>
</div>

There are no problems however if I add the above control elsewhere in the page.    A DatePicker works fine.

There are no console errors and this behaviour occurs in both Chrome and Edge.

If you setup multiple RadEditor controls on a single page with RenderMode set to Lightweight then when you change the foreground or background colour on one control, the other controls update their toolbar at the same time.

Sample Page code

    <h1>Editor 2</h1>

On Google Chrome, the following assingment ends up displaying the body of the html twice within the editor:

radEditor.Content="<HTML><HEAD><STYLE>@import url(./CSS/CI.css);</STYLE></HEAD><BODY><H3>OUTPUT LAYOUT</H3><P>First Name:</P><P>Kerry</P></BODY></HTML>"

The resulting html becomes:
"<html><head><link href="/WebResource.axd?d=IgLlf5SIEZ-4m-Qr1qYVOGbMUL9-osMaMQXxs1c-ODIbmiiieGrgJ2ZuegoRNaCpJJ5zKojqJuk_FD7Cb69kb713UUGq1dCMsrFtihWFgnKkbYnlqQv7Lo2rUoUhmXHopZnTw7Cs3STs4GHdRuMnVHVdYHhRrcdV8Dgdv-U213Y1&amp;t=637050242483188892" type="text/css" id="RADEDITORSTYLESHEET0" rel="stylesheet"></head><body><h3>OUTPUT LAYOUT</h3><p>First Name:</p><p>Kerry</p><h3>OUTPUT LAYOUT</h3><p>First Name:</p><p>Kerry</p></body></html>"

The issue is the "@import url(./CSS/CI.css);" within the Style tag, if the @import url, is removed, then it works as expected.

Works as expected on IE11.

If you add 2 <style> tags, the second one is displayed twice within the editor:

radEditor.Content = "<HTML><HEAD></HEAD><BODY><H3>OUTPUT LAYOUT</H3><P>First Name:</P><P>Kerry</P><style>@import url(\"./CSS/CI.css\");</style><style>@import url(\"./CSS/CI2.css\");</style></BODY></HTML>";

If paging is disabled and the PageSize is set to less than the number of records bound to RadGrid, client item templates are not all rendered correctly.

Example:

If PageSize is 10, and records bound to Grid are 15, then the first 10 records will have templates rendered correctly, while the rest of 5 records will not.

Hi Rumen,

I have encountered a problem as follows:

When a table is added to the radeditor with empty cells, after inserting text in  the empty cell and rejecting the track changes, the complete td (cell) is removed.

Figure shows text inserted in empty cell with track changes on

After rejecting this track changes:

The cell has been removed and you can see the space in the end

You can use the following table code to reproduce the same, I have tried this in the demo link: https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/trackchanges/defaultcs.aspx

The asp:Buttons inside DataForm templates are hidden if their ID's end with Edit, Insert of View and RenderWrapper="true".

Possible workarounds:

  1. Replace the asp:Button with telerik:RadButton
  2. Change the IDs of the hidden buttons so they do not end with Edit/Insert/View

The problem happens when there is a visible insert row on the grid which gets replaced by an empty row in the exported Excel file. The temp solution is to clear the insert row with the code below and the empty row in the generated excel will be removed.

protected void RadGrid1_ItemCommand(object sender, GridCommandEventArgs e)
{
    if(e.CommandName == RadGrid.ExportToExcelCommandName)
    {
        // if there are items in edit mode, clear those
        if(RadGrid1.EditIndexes.Count > 0)
        {
            RadGrid1.EditIndexes.Clear();
            RadGrid1.Rebind();
        }

        // if insert item is present, cancel the insert form
        if (RadGrid1.MasterTableView.IsItemInserted)
        {
            RadGrid1.MasterTableView.GetInsertItem().FireCommandEvent("Cancel", "");
        }

Assuming the following configuration for RadGrid:

  • RenderMode="Mobile"
  • AllowSorting="true"

Testing using a mobile device (e.g. Chrome in Galaxy Nexus)

Test case 1:

If I click on middle of three dots Icon, then RadGrid opens the options menu

Test case 2:

If I click a bit below of the three dots Icon, then RadGrid does a sort on the column automatically

Accessibility Insights is reporting invalid markup on all tabs in the TabList.

When consulting the online aria specifications I see that elements with role="tablist" support aria-level="#" where number is > 0.  (https://www.w3.org/TR/wai-aria-1.2/#tablist) However, elements with role="tab" do not. (https://www.w3.org/TR/wai-aria-1.2/#tab)

If possible, we would like to see the aria-level tag moved to the correct page elements in the next release. (Thanks for correcting the aria-level="0" problem previously.)

I believe this may be the compliance issue Sunil was reporting previously here: https://feedback.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/1413112-this-ul-should-only-contain-li-elements-without-an-aria-assigned-role
