I will be working on a project that need to show appointments for 20+ resources. I looked at your demos/documentation for the scheduler and don't see any support for horizontal scrolling.
I would be great to have the scheduler scroll the resources horizontally while maintaining the same width for each resource column.

Thanks for your time.

Something prevents the timeslotcreated event from firing when the advanced form is shown and therefore all the customizations that are done within timeslotcreated event are not in effect until advanced form is closed. For example you can see different background color/image on January 1st on the attached "Capture1.png" picture, but as soon as I open the advanced form, for create/edit, those css settings are gone (see attached "Capture2.png" picture) until I close the form.

You would think that this is a pretty big bug that needs to be resolved.

Thanks.

Some of the Red controls can be used for server side only (no UI).
I typically use RadGrid to perform something that it is good at (grouping and arranging data) then export it to Excel.
So if the UI is actually and output file this can be very handy, why have a web interface if you are actually created a report of some kind.
You had a Reporting tool kit, but times have moved on to Self Service and PowerBI type tools. It just seems that you have a lot of code in DLL that could be repurposed for process pipelines, not for a web interface, tho the final results could be reused there.

I have a RadGrid with around 150 columns and a few hundred rows. Currently, I'm looping over them and setting their widths with the resizeColumn function. Unfortunately, it's triggering a recalculation of the layout every time I call this function, so the total page load time can be in the minutes.

Oddly, much of the time was spent on the line:
e.style.width=e.offsetWidth-d+"px";

Chrome's developer tools helpfully pointed me at Forced Reflow. Apparently, when a width is set, initially no extra work is done. When another width is requested, the previous width may have changed it, so the whole layout gets recalculated.

The feature I'd like to request is a function to set column widths in bulk (accepting anything like an array or a dictionary would be fine) that doesn't trigger this recalculation mid-function.

At the moment, RTL support for excel like filtering is not implemented. It displays the following issues

    - menu position is wrong (tends to show up on the column to the left)
    - controls alignment inside the menu is wrong (ltr)

You can find attached a sample and screenshots with the current behavior

The RadCalendar AccessKey property does not move focus to the RadCalendar control.
For example, set the AccessKey="K" for the RadCalendar.

<telerik:RadCalendar ID="RadCalendar1" RenderMode="Lightweight" AutoPostBack="true" AccessKey="K"
         EnableKeyboardNavigation="true" EnableAriaSupport="true" EnableMultiSelect="true" runat="server"></telerik:RadCalendar>

However, focused is not moved to the Calendar with the AccessKey using ALT + Shift + key or ALT + key depending on the web browser. Please implement AccessKey for RadCalendar.

Thank You,
Carla

The current RadTileList TileGroup item is only settable as text. Is it possible to modify this item to use a LayoutTemplate so that additional items could be added to the TileGroup area?

Currently the AsyncUpload saves the chunks in the Temporary folder using the original name of the file, the Process method of the Custom handler. When the Temporary folder name is very long, it can hit the Windows path length limitation of 260 symbols.

I think it would be a great addition to the grid control if there was an attribute that you could apply to the columns called "SortNullsLast" or something along those lines. This attribute would modify the grid's sorting functionality and only apply the ascending or descending sort to non-null values.

Currently when you sort ascending, null values are sorted to the top of the grid. This new attribute would allow the non-null values to show up at the top in ascending order.

An example of why this would be useful is having a grid that tracks an optional requested completion date of a task. You would want to be able to sort the grid so that the earliest date shows first in the grid. Right now, any records that don't have this optional date would show first, which doesn't make sense.

Auto-Fit column width when exporting to excel using Format="Xlsx"

 I'd really like to have the columns automatically adjust to fit the width of the content.

As part of the Fall Creators update, Microsoft are releasing SDKs for their Fluent design system for UWP app design.

It would be great if Telerik could expand their skins to include controls designed to mimic the look and feel of the Fluent design including, where possible, Acrylic, Parallax, and Reveal. I believe that light or dark themes will be standard on the Fluent design, but users will be able to incorporate the their accent colour preference. So, at the least it would be great to have fluent light, and fluent dark skins with an easy method of similarly changing the accent colour.

Of course, not all of the functionality of UWP will be possible for ASP.NET AJAX, but since Fluent is likely to become the new standard for UWP app design, I believe that users will come to expect similar skins in their web-apps.

See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uwp/layout/design-and-ui-intro for more info.

As shown in the attached screen, please keep the column headers Fixed or Visible so they are still visible when users scroll down to see the other data, for both RadGrid and PivotGrid:

Extend the progress bar functionality to have a multicoloured chunks option.

For example, I've got an action which requires 4 steps. I would like to set the chunk for the current step to have a different colour from that of a completed step. Please see attached file sample.

In the RadGantt, when using WebServices with the Gantt, there is no OnClientRequestEnd client side event.

We have a scenario where we're wanting to be able to track whether or not an insert/update event succeeded (and update a control elsewhere on our page if it did) or failed (and show an alert if it didn't). however there is currently no event handler for when WebService requests from the RadGantt have completed.

I would like to suggest that the Buttons in the RadGrid allow databinding to the CommandName and CommandArgument fields. And pretty much all the buttons or anything that triggers an ItemCommand event that allow a CommandName and CommandArgument have their properties to be databound and accessible in the code behind.

Thanks!!!

A valid SQL statement should look like

SELECT * FROM Products WHERE ([Discontinued] = 1)

or

SELECT * FROM Products WHERE ([Discontinued] = 'True')

but RadGrid provides something like

([Discontinued] = True)

in the MasterTableView.FilterExpression property.

By default RadGrid filters the data on its own after retrieving the entire data set form the data source, and the filtering operation works like that.
If you will be using the filter expression provided by the grid in a custom data source operation you may need to tweak the string first.
Note that changing this may result in a breaking change if you are already using the current syntax.

Workaround: https://www.telerik.com/support/kb/aspnet-ajax/grid/details/get-sql-compliant-filterexpressions-from-radgrid

You would get something like

(([createddate] >= '01/08/2017,00:00:00') AND ([createddate] <= '14/08/2017,23:59:59'))

while you should get something like

(([createddate] >= '01/08/2017 00:00:00') AND ([createddate] <= '14/08/2017 23:59:59'))

so that the SQL syntax is valid.

RadGrid, does not send the FilterExpression to the SqlDataSource, however. It executes the SELECT statement and then filters the resulting data on its own. This works fine.

If you will be performing operations yourself, you could use a string operation before passing the filter expression. For example:

protected void RadGrid1_NeedDataSource(object sender, GridNeedDataSourceEventArgs e)
{
	if (!string.IsNullOrEmpty(this.RadGrid1.MasterTableView.FilterExpression))
	{
		if (this.RadGrid1.MasterTableView.FilterExpression.Contains("createddate"))
		{
			this.RadGrid1.MasterTableView.FilterExpression = this.RadGrid1.MasterTableView.FilterExpression.Replace(",", " ");
		}
		DataView dv =GetData("select * from [myTable] where ", this.RadGrid1.MasterTableView.FilterExpression);
                //where you would need to have something like (([createddate] >= '01/08/2017 00:00:00') AND ([createddate] <= '14/08/2017 23:59:59'))
		this.RadGrid1.DataSource = dv;
	}
}

Note that implementing such a change may break existing code that relies on the current syntax that contains the comma.
