As of now RadEditor for SharePoint 2013 or sharepoint 2016 is not available, reason Telerik had provided for non-availablity of RadEditor for List Items as it is handled from client end is not acceptable, since many other component providers do support similar functions with their editors. the reason / use case iam looking for is becoz of need to handle clipboard manager in editor which is not available in Multiple line of text column type of an SharePoint 2013 list,

I'd like to use several masks in order to accept many phone numbers format.
The component must accept phone numbers with these separators : "-", "/", "|" and space between figures.
Here are some example of format that i mean:

1- xx-xx-xx-xx-xx 2- xx - xx - xx - xx - xx
3- xx.xx.xx.xx.xx 4- xx/xx/xx/xx/xx
5- xx / xx / xx / xx 6- xx|xx|xx|xx|xx
7- xx | xx | xx | xx

Evidently, the component needs to accept figures only. Most of the time, the phone numbers are inserted by a copy-pasted
Won't Fix

The correct format should be ISO 8601:
([CreateDate] >= '2013-06-22T00.00.00') AND ([CreateDate] <= '2013-06-22T23.59.59'

In order to replace the image we use the 'pasteHtml()' API method (http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/editor/client-side-programming/methods/pastehtml). Unfortunately, we have faced the issue in the latest version of Telerik RadEditor (2016.3.1027.45).

If parent 'div' has "float:left" style settings, the 'pasteHtml()' API method inserts a new image beyond the parent 'div' element. The issue is reproducible in IE11, and it is not reproducible on in the FF and Chrome, Edge and IE10.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the demo page http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx
2. Switch to the 'HTML' mode of the RTE and replace all existing HTML content with the following HTML snippet:
***
<div style="float: left;">
<img alt="" style="margin: 0px 30px 30px 0px; width: 200px; float: left;" src="../../images/top_image.png" />
</div>
***
3. Switch to the 'Design' mode of the RTE and click once on the image;
4. Open the browser console (F12) and execute the following API code in the console:
$telerik.radControls[11].pasteHtml('<img alt="" src="/aspnet-ajax/Editor/images/UserDir/Marketing/Tokyo.png" />')

Actual Result:
A new image is inserted beyond the parent 'div' element.
***
<div style="float: left;">
</div>
<img alt="" src="/aspnet-ajax/Editor/images/UserDir/Marketing/Tokyo.png" />
***

Expected result:
A new image is inserted into the parent 'div' element.
***
<div style="float: left;">
<img alt="" src="/aspnet-ajax/Editor/images/UserDir/Marketing/Tokyo.png" />
</div>
***

At present, when IE is in Compatibility Mode the UI for ASP.NET AJAX controls use the Classic RenderMode in all cases because of the User Agent string the browser provides.

If RenderMode="Lightweight" and the X-UA-Compatible meta tag with value "IE=edge" is present on the server, the controls will render in the Lightweight mode instead of falling back to Classic.
This will also apply to RenderMode="Auto".

It will be nice to have a countDown control with all the client/server events and the suite skins, which will enable the developer to show a visitor with a timer to complete a task (like finsih a purchase with a guranteed price for few minutes) and call a web service when the timer got to zero, and show a message to the client (with integrated Notificatoin object) about the price (changed or staed the same etc.) and let the developer decide if he wants to start the timer again or not.

Thanks,
ilan.

1. Set this content to a page
2. Toggle Preview mode

Actual behavior: TextArea remain visible on the page as its styles get overriden
Expected: TextArea is hidden

.NET provides a standard mechanism to resolve any needed assembly via the AssemblyResolve event (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.appdomain.assemblyresolve(v=vs.110).aspx).
Besides self-implementing this event there are tools (like SmartAssembly) which use this mechanism.
We use this mechanism to make application deployment (including ASP.NET applications) as painless and easy as possible.

With Telerik ASP.NET this does not work :-(

Please provide some way/sample/API to make it possible to embed Telerik ASP.NET assemblies.

Thanks in advance.

Best Regards

Hello, In one of the pages in our website, we have a RadGrid that uses client-side binding. Above the grid, there's an "Apply Best Fit" button that executes the following JavaScript:
...
...

applyBestFit: function(tableView)
{
  var columns = tableView.get_columns();

  for (var i = 0; i < columns.length; i++)
    columns[i].resizeToFit(false, true);
}

...
...
In IE, it runs VERY slowly when there's 5,000 grid rows.

I found this post: "http://www.telerik.com/forums/radgrid-with-resizetofit-javascript-issue" and read the recommended link: "http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/grid/performance/grid-performance-optimizations"

I understand that resizeToFit( ) is slow under IE.

I would like to propose that you add a new "MaxRowsToEvaluate" (or similar) parameter to resizeToFit( ) that can be used to control how many grid rows are evaluated when determining the widest size of a column.

With this new parameter, I could pass a value of 25, for example, and know that only up to 25 grid rows will be used in calculating the widest size of a column. That would speed things up a lot I think.

Using this approach, the resizing would not be perfect, because a cell in the column beyond the "MaxRowsToEvaluate" number of rows may contain a value that's really long, but at least it wouldn't make the browser look like it's hung.

Thanks

Would be really nice if there was a clearly defined client-side object model for the radGrid. We created a function like the one below by deconstructing the header menu. The jQuery selectors to find the container and affected dropdown lists are really hacky and very brittle. Reliance on magic strings means that upgrading to future versions is likely to break code like this.

Ideally we should be able to reference (and alter) a client-side filter operators collection like this: grid.headerMenu.filterOperators

function headerMenuShowing(sender, args) {
    var $container = jQuery("div[id^='" + sender.get_id() + "_rghcMenu']");
    var $lists = $container.find("ul.rcbList");
    var gridCol = args.get_gridColumn();
    var dataType = gridCol.get_dataType();
    switch (dataType) {
        case "System.String":
            $lists.find("li:contains('GreaterThan')").hide();
            $lists.find("li:contains('LessThan')").hide();
            $lists.find("li:contains('IsEmpty')").hide();
            $lists.find("li:contains('NotIsEmpty')").hide();
            break;
        case "System.Int32":
        case "System.Int64":
        case "System.Double":
        case "System.Decimal":
        case "System.DateTime":
            $lists.find("li:contains('GreaterThan')").show();
            $lists.find("li:contains('LessThan')").show();
            break;
    }
}

Would like a code sample of connecting to Active Directory/LDAP so in the RadComboBox you can start looking up someone in the company phone book.
Since this is a common Intranet need, this would be a quick win for many people that were not planning to install SharePoint.
