Can be reproduced with the code below:

<telerik:RadEditor runat="server" ID="RadEditor1" >
    <Content>
   Here is sample content!
    </Content>
</telerik:RadEditor>

<input type="button" value="Set Focus On RadEditor" onclick="SetFocusOnRadEditor(); return false;" />
<script type="text/javascript">
    function SetFocusOnRadEditor() {
        var editor = $find("<%=RadEditor1.ClientID%>"); //get a reference to RadEditor client object
            editor.setFocus(); //set the focus on the the editor
    }
</script>

The problem is not reproducible when the ContentAreaMode is set to DIV or in the other browsers.

Workaround

<telerik:RadEditor runat="server" ID="RadEditor1">
    <Content>
    Here is sample content!
    </Content>
</telerik:RadEditor>

<button type="button"  onclick="SetFocusOnRadEditor()">Focuse On RadEditor</button>
<script type="text/javascript">
    function SetFocusOnRadEditor() {
        var editor = $find("<%=RadEditor1.ClientID%>");
        if ($telerik.isChrome) {
            var iframe = editor.get_contentAreaElement();
            iframe.contentWindow.document.body.focus();
        }
        else {

If misspelled word is coming after scroll bar it is not focusing in IE11, Edge and Chrome.

Can be reproduced in the default demo - https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx

Paste the following content

<p>a</p>
<p>a</p>
<p>a</p>
<p>a</p>
<p>a</p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p>risksss</p>

and click on the spell check button. The popup with the suggestions will be positioned outside of the content area.

As a workaround you can switch to DIV content area mode - https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/contentareamodediv/defaultcs.aspx

Hello,

There seems to be an issue with the "Strip Span Elements" tool when pasting content into the editor in Design mode.

I have made a screencast demonstrating the issue available here: https://www.screencast.com/t/1OZ1huYPde8H

Reproduce:

Open a RadEditor demo that has the "Strip Span Elements" option like the Overview(https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx) or the Right Editor in this demo(https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/cleaningwordformatting/defaultcs.aspx).

In a word document create text that when pasted into the editor has spans, for example changing the background color or the text color.

Copy the text from the document into the "Design" mode of the editor.
Select the text you would like to strip span's from (I used all of the text in the screencast example).

Use the "Strip Span Elements" button.

Switch the editor mode to HTML(The spans are not stripped).

Switch back to design mode.

Select the text you would like to remove spans from again.

Use the "Strip Span Elements" button. The spans are now stripped.

Expected result: Strip Span Elements option removes <span> tags from html directly after pasting into design mode.

Actual result: Strip Span Elements option does not remove <span> tags on pasted text in the design mode until you navigate to HTML mode then back to design mode.

Any help and suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

Calvin Williams

Due to browser restrictions, the print behavior is changed and works identically to the one of IE - a new tab/dialog with the grid is opened whose print command is launched. You can observe the behavior in IE at https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/functionality/printing/defaultcs.aspx.

The ContextMenu popup is not position properly relative to its target element when the page is horizontally scrolled in Edge. The problem is reproducible with R2 2018.

Steps tp reproduce:
1. Run the code below and scroll the page to the right
2. Right click over a number

Using a hidden button and calling its .click() method is sometimes used to invoke a postback under some application logic conditions. If you use the jQuery method and a RadAjaxPanel, this will no longer work with jQuery3 because its strict mode causes the MS AJAX scripts to throw an error.

Below is a sample repro of the scenario and it shows two of the workarounds. The third workaround is to downgrade jQuery to an older version (for example, 1.11.1 which is the previous version the suite used): https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/scriptmanager/disabling-the-embedded-jquery

Repro steps:
- go to the RadClientDataSource binding demo: https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/data-binding/client-side/client-data-source-binding/defaultcs.aspx
- filter a column so there is no data in the grid
- remove the filter
Actual: the pager is gone
Expected: the pager is there

SOLUTION: see the following KB article: https://www.telerik.com/support/kb/aspnet-ajax/grid/details/clientdatasource-binding-after-filtering-so-no-records-are-present-and-removing-the-filter-there-is-no-pager
You can show the pager when the filter command is executed:

function OnCommand(sender, args) {
    if (args.get_commandName() == "Filter") {
        $telerik.$(sender.get_element()).find(".rgPager").show();
    }

Category: PivotGrid
Type: Feature Request

Hi I have a straightforward feature request: I would like to be able to "get" the row/column "filter" values the user has selected server-side. Basically need a public property or some type of getter. Currently on the PivotGrid, the row/column "Filter" "Includes/Excludes" can be "set" programmatically, but user selected values can't be easily gotten.

I would use it in a couple ways:

1) to display context to the user for the numbers in the grid. (e.g., show the user the active filter values responsible for the numbers they are seeing in the PivotGrid Detail).

2) I need the filter values to close Ticket 1168787.

A Telerik employee make a nice sample project to do drill-through functionality: https://www.telerik.com/blogs/how-to-implement-drill-down-functionality-in-telerik-s-pivotgrid-for-asp.net-ajax-part-2

But the PivotGrid counts and RadGrid detail data records returned are not in agreement because selected PivotGrid filters aren't applied to the detail returned in the RadGrid. I need to do that. I need to be able to mimic a drill through action into the detail records that make up the data counts. If I click a cell that says "100" (orders, 2018 year included) I need 100 orders returned in the detail. Not 7000 orders (all order years, unfiltered).

In that ticket, I'm trying to mimic the functionality similar to an SSAS "drillthrough action" (like many cube browsers have built in, e.g., RANET OLAP), except here with a regular SQL data source. This way I can drill into the detail records that make up the numbers displayed to the user in the PivotGrid. However, as it stands, the counts and detail will not be congruent until I can get the filter values selected by the user and apply them accordingly to the data set for the detail RadGrid. The BI users expect to be able to drill into the data and I need to provide it.

Thank you,

Tom
