During penetration tests we have to let carry out we allways run into problems with version disclosures originating from the embedded scripts and the Telerik.Web.UI.
To keep updates of the telerik components easy and to stay out of version incompatibilities we would like to keep using the embedded scripts.
Atm this is even more unlucky because the still, or again, used JQuery version 1.12.4 is known to be vulnerable to Cross-site Scripting (XSS) attacks.

Our request would now be to at least remove the version comments from the embedded script files and the exact version of the Telerik.Web.UI in the links created to the Webresource.axd.

The checkboxes decorated with RadFormDecorator appeared double in Classic rendering after upgrading to Firefox 63.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Upgrade to Firefox 63
2. Run the following setup
        <telerik:RadFormDecorator runat="server" DecoratedControls="CheckBoxes" RenderMode="Classic" />
        <div>asp:Checkbox</div>
        <asp:CheckBox ID="chkApproved" runat="server" Text="asp:Checkbox" />

        <div>Html Input</div>
        <input id="chkApproved1" type="checkbox" name="chkApproved" />

======================================

Solutions found so far:
1) Use RadFormDecorator in Lightweight RenderMode:
     <telerik:RadFormDecorator runat="server" RenderMode="Lightweight"/>

2) Set the RadFormDecorator's DecoratedControls="All":
     <telerik:RadFormDecorator runat="server" RenderMode="Classic" DecoratedControls="All"  />

3) Set the ControlsToSkip="CheckBoxes"
      <telerik:RadFormDecorator runat="server" RenderMode="Classic" ControlsToSkip="CheckBoxes"  />

4) Or add the following CSS overwrite to the page:
        <style>
           .rfdCheckboxUnchecked, .rfdCheckboxChecked {
               padding: 0 !important;
               background-image: none !important;
           }
       </style>

If RadEditor is initially hidden with display:none, its tools do not work when displayed in Firefox 62.0:

<div style="display: none" id="hiddenWrapper">
    <telerik:RadEditor ID="RadEditor1"  runat="server"></telerik:RadEditor>
</div>
<script>
    function f() {
        $get('hiddenWrapper').style.display = "block";
      }
    Sys.Application.add_load(f);
</script>

There is a warning error in the console: "Mutation Events is deprecated and to use MutationObserver".

The fix is to call the $find("RadEditor1").onParentNodeChanged(); method to recreate the content area:

<div style="display: none" id="hiddenWrapper">
    <telerik:RadEditor ID="RadEditor1"  runat="server"></telerik:RadEditor>
</div>
<script>
    function f() {
        $get('hiddenWrapper').style.display = "block";
        $find("RadEditor1").onParentNodeChanged();
    }
    Sys.Application.add_load(f);
</script>

The underlying Kendo Linear Kendo stopped rendering the track in 2014.3.1314 and, respectively, so does RadLinearGauge as of 2015.1.225

For example, the following snippet should render a wide, green, semi-transparent track, but it does not

Workaround - placing the following script after the ScriptManager:
<script type="text/javascript">
    Telerik.Web.UI.RadGantt.prototype.postback = function (args) {
        var postbackFunction = this.get_postBackReference().replace("arguments",
                Sys.Serialization.JavaScriptSerializer.serialize(args).replace(/\\/g, "\\\\").replace(/'/g, "\\'"));

Likely to happen when an element is empty, not just the editor, if you can get the cusros in an empty <p>, and press backspace you can get the same behavior, it can happen as you work on some content

Steps to reproduce:

1. Go to the Editor demo page http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx in Chrome
2. CTRL+A on the editor and hit delete
3. Hit Delete or Backspace again

Result: Uncaught TypeError Cannot read property 'nodeType' of undefined Appears in the console

The image manager dialog do not resize properly in Chrome when the screen resolution is 1920x1080 and the Windows zoom level is 125%-150%-175%.

In Internet Explorer, all dialogs have scrolls - tested on 4k screen with 150% zoom.

See the attachments.

Workaround:

<script>
    function OnClientCommandExecuted(editor, args) {
        if (editor.get_dialogOpener()) {
            var commandName = args.get_commandName();

            if (editor.get_dialogOpener()._getDialogContainer) {
                dialogReference = editor.get_dialogOpener()._getDialogContainer(commandName);
                setTimeout(function () {
                    var dialogContainerHeight = parseInt(editor.get_dialogOpener()._getDialogContainer(commandName).get_contentElement().style.height);
                    dialogReference.set_height(dialogContainerHeight + 40);
                    dialogReference.get_contentElement().removeAttribute("style");
                    dialogReference.get_contentElement().style.height = dialogContainerHeight + 5 + "px";

Hidden columns are shown on resize when the static headers and frozen column are used.

Video: https://www.screencast.com/t/4Lwuvbp7

Possible workarounds:

- Hide the column with Visible="False", instead of Display="False"

- Hide the column on the client-side:

    function gridCreated(sender, args) {
        var masterTableView = sender.get_masterTableView();
        columnIndex = masterTableView.getColumnByUniqueName("ShipName").get_element().cellIndex;
        setTimeout(function () {
            masterTableView.hideColumn(columnIndex);
        }, 2);
    }

Steps to reproduse:

            <telerik:RadGrid RenderMode="Lightweight" HeaderStyle-Width="200px"
                AutoGenerateColumns="false"
                ID="RadGrid1"
                OnNeedDataSource="RadGrid1_NeedDataSource"
                Width="100%"
                runat="server">
                <ClientSettings>
                    <Scrolling AllowScroll="True" UseStaticHeaders="true" FrozenColumnsCount="2"></Scrolling>
                </ClientSettings>
                <MasterTableView AutoGenerateColumns="false">
                    <Columns>
                        <telerik:GridBoundColumn DataField="SongID" HeaderText="SongID" FilterControlWidth="50px" HeaderStyle-Width="50px">

                </MasterTableView>
            </telerik:RadGrid>

Code Behind:

    protected void RadGrid1_NeedDataSource(object sender, GridNeedDataSourceEventArgs e)

    }

    private DataTable GetData()

The task's get_customFieldClientName() and set_customFieldClientName(newValue) methods always work with the last custom field in the CustomFields collection.

There are two workarounds until an official solution is available:
- instead of the function getter, use task._data.customFieldClientName . The setter cannot be worked around that easily. This can work for you if you only show data or do not need to edit custom fields
- OR, add the following function override at the end of the </form> - a sample is attached below
        <script>
            Telerik.Web.UI.RadGantt.prototype.initializeCustomFields = function () {

                var _createCustomFieldGetterAndSetter = function (fieldName) {
                    var taskType = Telerik.Web.UI.GanttTask;
                    taskType.prototype["get_" + fieldName] = function () {
                        return this._data[fieldName];
                    };

                    taskType.prototype["set_" + fieldName] = function (value) {
                        var updateInfo = {};
                        updateInfo[fieldName] = value;
                        this._data[fieldName] = value;
                        this._update(updateInfo);
                    };
                }

                var customFields = this.get_customTaskFields();
                for (var i = 0, length = customFields.length; i < length; i++) {
                    _createCustomFieldGetterAndSetter(customFields[i].clientPropertyName);

            }

After having a filter applied, filter value is not cleared when FilterOption was set to "NoFilter".

The following client-side logic would clear the textbox values before the filtering is applied if filter options are set to "NoFilter"

            function onCommand(sender, args) {
                if (args.get_commandName() == "HeaderContextMenuFilter") {
                    var firstTextBox = $("[id$='HCFMRTBFirstCond']")[0].control;
                    var firstFilterOption = args.get_commandArgument().split("|")[1];

                    var secondTextBox = $("[id$='HCFMRTBSecondCond']")[0].control;
                    var secondFilterOption = args.get_commandArgument().split("|")[3];

                    if (firstFilterOption.includes("NoFilter") && firstTextBox.get_value() != "") {
                        args.set_cancel(true);
                        var value = firstTextBox.get_value();
                        firstTextBox.clear();
                        var newArg = args.get_commandArgument().replace("|" + value + "|?", "||?");
                        args.get_tableView().fireCommand(args.get_commandName(), newArg);
                    }

                    if (secondFilterOption.includes("NoFilter") && secondTextBox.get_value() != "") {
                        args.set_cancel(true);
                        var value = firstTextBox.get_value();
                        secondTextBox.clear();
                        var newArg = args.get_commandArgument().replace("|" + value + "|?", "||?");

If misspelled word is coming after scroll bar it is not focusing in IE11, Edge and Chrome.

Can be reproduced in the default demo - https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx

Paste the following content

<p>a</p>
<p>a</p>
<p>a</p>

<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>
<p></p>

and click on the spell check button. The popup with the suggestions will be positioned outside of the content area.

Hello,

There seems to be an issue with the "Strip Span Elements" tool when pasting content into the editor in Design mode.

I have made a screencast demonstrating the issue available here: https://www.screencast.com/t/1OZ1huYPde8H

Reproduce:

Open a RadEditor demo that has the "Strip Span Elements" option like the Overview(https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/overview/defaultcs.aspx) or the Right Editor in this demo(https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/cleaningwordformatting/defaultcs.aspx).

In a word document create text that when pasted into the editor has spans, for example changing the background color or the text color.

Copy the text from the document into the "Design" mode of the editor.
Select the text you would like to strip span's from (I used all of the text in the screencast example).

Use the "Strip Span Elements" button.

Switch the editor mode to HTML(The spans are not stripped).

Switch back to design mode.

Select the text you would like to remove spans from again.

Use the "Strip Span Elements" button. The spans are now stripped.

Expected result: Strip Span Elements option removes <span> tags from html directly after pasting into design mode.

Actual result: Strip Span Elements option does not remove <span> tags on pasted text in the design mode until you navigate to HTML mode then back to design mode.

Any help and suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks,

Calvin Williams

Due to browser restrictions, the print behavior is changed and works identically to the one of IE - a new tab/dialog with the grid is opened whose print command is launched. You can observe the behavior in IE at https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/functionality/printing/defaultcs.aspx.

Using a hidden button and calling its .click() method is sometimes used to invoke a postback under some application logic conditions. If you use the jQuery method and a RadAjaxPanel, this will no longer work with jQuery3 because its strict mode causes the MS AJAX scripts to throw an error.

Below is a sample repro of the scenario and it shows two of the workarounds. The third workaround is to downgrade jQuery to an older version (for example, 1.11.1 which is the previous version the suite used): https://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/scriptmanager/disabling-the-embedded-jquery
