{{base-url}} mostly defaults to localhost:5000
I can't exactly replicate but I did get it to work once but if I open a new project and change base-url to for instance localhost:54304 I can see the request is being sent to localhost:5000/api/blah when I plug in {{base-url}}/api/blah to a new step. I even had it where I got it to recognise the right port but then realised I had made a typo "localhost:5430" and couldn't get it to recognise the new value

Have tried with 2016.3.1115.0 and this seems to be resolved thanks

HI David,

Could you try with the latest build of TestStudio for APIs? If the problem persist I would suggest you to submit a support ticket with your project, so we can investigate the issue in details.

I take that back I have replicated it. It appears to be that its all fine for GET requests but if you have set up steps for various methods, then change a variable in this case "baseUrl" (not this is a new variable I have created) then the HEAD, PUT, DELETE requests continue to use the old variable value

I think this may have been fixed (its seems ok now) I have created a custom variable and am using that. 

Keep it up this is such a useful tool
