Kendo JQuery editor in custom application gets no actions recorded in IE

Customer's specific application has Kendo JQuery editor implemented but IE does not record any actions against it. Firefox records successfully and these steps could be executed against IE as well.

The same is tested against the official Telerik Demos and works as expected.

The Testing Framework throws System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException when testing component in custom WPF app

The sample application throws an exception when trying to automate it. A sample app and project are shared internally to reproduce the issue.

testing framework - some issues running telerik sample project

Hi

Recently, I download and installed Telerik Testing Framework and when running the solution "QuickStarts_NUnit_cs" in Visual Studio 2013 Professional I faced some issues. The issues occurs running either Firefox ESR, IE11 (Version 11.0.9.9600.18537) or Chrome (Version 66.0.3359.181). In Firefox ESR 45.3.0 does not start any instance of browser. In IE11 and Chrome, start instance of browser but without change the URL address.

How can you fixed those kind of issues?

Best regards,
Gilberto Murteira

Why does Test Studio have to be run as Administrator?

In Windows 10, Microsoft blocks users from opening programs that show that administrator permissions are needed to run the program.

Why is Test Studio configured this way instead of just as an executable program? I read other posts referencing saving log files and such, but can't the security permissions on the machine itself dictate where files can be saved instead of TS making that distinction out of the gate?

It means I cannot open the program in Windows 10, much less create any tests. And our IT department is not going to grant admin access on the individual user machines.

Databind to multiple sources/files

Currently a single test can be bound to only one data source (a single file, a single sheet, etc.). For larger tests that include subtests and passing data to the subtests, the single spreadsheet becomes nearly unmanageablylarge. It would be useful in cases like this to be able to bind the test to multiple data sources (e.g. multple sheets within the same Excel file). Then the various subtests can reference data in sheet 2, 3, 4, etc. while the parent test could use data from sheet 1. This would significantly simplify setting up the data being feed into the main parent test.

Data-drive JSON and XML in Load Tests

Currently, load tests do not decode JSON and XML from the HTTP requests and responses captured for load testing. Decode these in the captured traffic and offer them as dynamic target options in the load test configuration.

Load testing should support dynamic targets in JSON

Currently the Test Studio Load testing feature will only detect dynamic targets if they are in a standard key-value query format. Load testing should add support for dynamic targets received and sent back to the WebAPI in a JSON format. JSON is ubiquitous and the lack of support for JSON dynamic targets is a big limitation.

Add a Get Latest from TFS checkbox to Run List Remotely.

When you schedule a test list you have a Get Latest from TFS option. When you Run List Remotely this checkbox is missing. Since we are a TFS shop we really need this option added to Run List Remotely.
