Diagram: Add a way to prevent overlapping of routed connections
You should be able to prevent the horizontal/vertical overlapping of routed connections . This way the connections should be easier to differentiate.

To better differentiate connections, users might:

--- use labels on the connections

            --- use bezier connections

--- use different colors for different connections

--- use more custom connectors and attach the connections to not used connectors

-- use AStartRouter instead of the default one (Grid Router)

This feature is available with our latest official version - R1 2019.

Hi,

We use diagrams as a core of one of ours component.

In our production applications we have:
1. Small ones - several shapes with several connectors and connections
2. Big ones as a main process flow, so used frequently:
2.1 From about 50 shapes with several connectors and 60 connections
2.2 To about 75 shapes with several connectors and 112 connections

In our application we have around 10 shapes with maybe 30 connections. I'd be happy to try it out when a partial solution exists.

We currently have no timeline for this feature. To be honest it is really complex Math problem with no general well-known solution. There are some paperworks on the topic with code written on C++, plugging such libraries in our Framework is also a complex task with several issues - licensing, performance, complexity of code, rewriting C++ code to C#.

Can we ask you to share with us how many shapes and connections your diagrams have? Once we work on implementing a complete or partial solution, this will be of high importance.

what's the timeline for this? really looking forward to this!

This functionality would be beneficial on the control; Especially when working with network topology layouts, etc. Is there any update in regards to the current status for this addition?

Cad tools all have this... in electronic circuits it looks like a bus when there is overlap. We chose this package specifically for diagraming and routing.

This feature should be considered essential and needs to be included in the diagram framework as soon as possible.
