If in the CellTemplate we bind to the DataItem and in the CellEditTemplate we only change 1 property ( Start for example ) - when the focus is changed after edit - the value is not updated.

The XAML team has recently reviewed this issue and will not be addressing it as at this time the team is focusing on the bugs impacting the highest number of developers.
