Hi Robert,
Indeed, our Edge automation steps on WebDriver API. While it's a bit limited for Edge we manage to work-around the issues so far so that we can fully support Edge at the end.
@All, we should be able to release Edge automation officially with the R2'16 release of Test Studio by June. We will definitely provide a preview earlier once it passes our internal testing so hopefully we will get an internal build for all those customers running the next official release (R1'16 planned for March) due in May. Please stay tuned.
Best Regards!
Robert

Hi All,
The dev team is researching our options to automate MS Edge. Unfortunately our IE automation is not useful for Edge and in addition it still does not support browser extensions, so we are looking for alternative.
We will make sure to update this public item as soon as we have some success as well as timeline to commit with.
Thanks for your feedback!

Hi All, thanks for your valuable feedback. We are currently resarching the options here and plan to start implementing test playback first.

We expect customers to quickly adopt Windows 10 and the Edge browser because that is being distributed on new tablets.
Playback is what we need first.

It would be nice to see playback support before too long.
