Docking: Make it possible to set fixed Width/Height sizes to the PaneGroups

Make it possible to set fixed WIdth/Height sizes to the PaneGroups. In the current version setting the Width/Height properties of the PaneGroup leads to incorrect placement of the groups while docked in the control.

Available in the 2017 R2 Release.

Yep, this is a real nightmare to wrestly with, sizing, saving, loading, resetting, datacontexts in tabs, header and title templates, its all a real chore and very unintuitive. 

Please please address this, at the very least releasing better examples of real world situations. I shudder everytime I need to use this control and often resort to Tab controls.

To have "locked" sections of UI where they do not change size as the whole is resized is really important.  We need this functionality ASAP, thanks.

We have just come across a scenario where we need this feature.  Its been over 2 years since the last Telerik response.  Is there any chance of this making it into development within a reasonable timeframe?

The current status of the feature request is "Approved" which means that it has been reviewed and reproduced by our developer team.

When an item logged in the feedback portal has been scheduled and is in development that item's status will be changed to "In Development". You can follow an item in the portal in order to automatically get update emails when it's status is changed.

This Feature Request item is also valid for Silverlight and we will consider the explained scenario once the item is planned for implementation.

I too would like to see this feature implemented (in UI for Silverlight). It seems to be a feature that should be naturally supported.

I want to be able to have a pane docked to the right, with a top fixed height child pane and another child pane taking up the remainder vertical space. This is not currently possible.
