The session icon legend is incomplete in the documentation

There are several icons in the UI such as <> that have no reference in the online documentation. Some of the icons in the legend also appear to be slightly different. Can you please ensure that all of these are consistent and up to date?

Support High DPI screens

Please support High DPI - When running in a Fusion VM on a Retina MAC, the UI tends to look a little squished. For example I run at 200% dpi.

Note: If it's winforms, you *might* be able to simply update the Form property AutoScaleMode = Font and then open the Designer.cs file and add "this.AutoScaleDimensions = new System.Drawing.SizeF(6F, 13F);"

Implement proper handling for content-type applicationzip

Hi,

at the Moment when exporting a FiddlerWebtest using FiddlerCore, RequestsBodies with Content-Type application/zip will be handled as StringContent (Unicode-Encoded and therefore destroyed). I think best would be to check if Content-Type starts with "application/" in order to handle it as binary.

Kind Regards

AutoResponder Action Supports Matching Groups

When defining a Rule within the AutoResponder tab, is it possible to use matching groups from the Match form field within the Action field?

For example: If I want to respond to a request for http://maint.mysite.com/ping/pong.html with content from http://www.mysite.com/ping/pong.html I would create a rule like the following. This rule would also apply to any other page under maint.mysite.com.

Match: regex:http://maint\.mysite\.com/(.+)
Action: http://www.mysite.com/\1

Please forgive me if this is already possible. Just let me know how to do it.

Thanks!

I Love this product.

Add "range: bytes" header support

I set a file to be replaced with AutoResponder and then tried doing request with

Range: bytes=179200-

but it appears that Fiddler returns the whole file not the requested range.

If I disable auto responder then the file is requested from my nginx server which servers the file correctly. (only the bytes I requested)

Version: Fiddler Web Debugger (v4.4.5.9)

fiddlercap

In the last month a problem has surfaced with FiddlerCap. When selecting Decrypt HTTPS, a warning regarding decrypting HTTPS traffic pops up. Saying OK to the message unchecks the Decrypt HTTPS box and than a message of "Sorry, unable to create root certificate" pops up.
Fiddler will install on those systems without an issue. However it is not ideal to request custoemr to run Fiddler instead of FiddlerCap.

Can an edited page be reloaded without the changes be lost?

I use the great "AutoResponder" feature to replace a page with my own one, so that I perform changes on that page.

However, this process takes several steps. Create the autoresponder, create local page with the same content as the online page, then edit it, etc.

I see that you have the "F2" function: "Unlock for Editing".

However, when I reload the page, all changes are lost.

Can you just add a checkbox, like this: "[ ] Keep changes when reloading the page"

Or something like that?

Maybe a solution already exists?

fiddler for mono doesnt work with https

I've been using Fiddler for Mono Alpha. Then, I activated HTTPS support. Now I can't access any web page, HTTPS or not. I've had to disable proxy in my browser settings.

Enable launching IE specifically from FiddlerCap

I don't know a single person that uses IE for their default browser. As FiddlerCap only launches the default browser this means to get FiddlerCap to capture a session from IE, I have to change my default browser to IE.

In windows 8 this means I have to do the following:
1) Win+S to open Search and type: IE then press Enter
2) Click gear icon, click Internet Options.
3) Click Programs Tab.
4) Click Set Programs button.
5) Click Set your default programs link.
6) Select IE from the list of default programs.
7) Click the Set this program as default button.
8) Close Set Defaults window.
9) Close Internet Options window.

and as I don't run IE as my default browser, I have to do that everytime I use FiddlerCap to capture IE, which in support and testing happens often.

Very inconvenient... so my suggestion is to create a way to launch all the browsers that FiddlerCap supports specifically, regardless of what the OS default browser is.

Regards,

Scott

default session save directory

When saving sessions to a file, the initial directory opened in the dialog box is \Documents\Fiddler2\Captures in the current user's home.

It would be helpful if this dialog would remember the last saved location and open that instead. This is the behavior within a Fiddler session (i.e saving for a second time). The suggestion is to extend this between sessions too (closing and opening fiddler).

Thank you!
