Test Studio cannot attach the recorder to a wpf application on a machine without TFS or Visual Studio installed
A workaround is to install Microsoft Visual Studio Team Explorer 2010. You can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=329

The problem is fixed with the latest internal build (labeled 2013.1.1002). You can download the build from your account:
