test as step repository
If the tests can have a central place to know what tests are being used by other tests, then it would be nice to replace some tightly dependent tests with other shorter and generic tests like navigation to the functional area. 

Something that is similar to the element repository.

The UsedBy option covers this scenario when we are speaking about a repository inside one project. The shared between projects tests repository is a different request. You can vote for it here - http://tpdogfood.telerik.com/view#item/40891

I like the Used By in Test Studio.  I think this works well, but the next step is to figure out how to get this functionality to work with Visual Studio.

Hi All,

There is an idea to add the UsedBy option for test in the project explorer, similar to the element's one.

Hi Ewin, unfortunately this feature is not currently on our 2015 roadmap. 
We are working mainly on getting мobile тesting inside Test Studio, as well as some TS optimizations, but this one is not among them at the moment.

For our current project, it would have been really useful if we could access test steps from multiple projects.

I was envisioning that this would be a place where it would be used in a particular project.  

In it, I would be able to see what tests are associated to other tests.  Like I have a test that would be uses a test that logs into a system but within that same test goes over some additional steps that are not functionally necessary to check functionality of the system under test.  

This central place would allow a refactor aspect to the test as step.  

Having a central place to know what tests uses a specific test allows me as a user to keep track what tests are being used.  

Currently to my knowledge of test studio, I do not know what tests are being used within other tests.

Do you see this as a repository that's outside of a project and can be used by other projects?

I'm not clear on how you'd like this to work differently than the current Test As Step insertion works. Please give me some more detail so I can better understand this!
