Furthermore, I did see this that says it was fixed in a 2016 version but was it reintroduced accidentally in a future version (i.e. 2018.2.516.45)?

Is this fixed yet? We're running ASP.NET AJAX version 2018.2.516.45 and when debugging we do not see the updates for child grids when the parent has changes. We also see it only ever saves the first details table grid changes if the parent does not have changes.
